There is NO way Mike Riley would send off Gerrard at anfield.
Gerrard could butcher the opposing team with a samurai sword and a machine gun and all that would happen is Riley would award him a penalty.

Refs aren't consistent, and they don't have the confidence (balls) to make big decisions, like sending Gerrard off.
So it should be - but how they get away with ignoring Bosingwa I will never understand
(or rather I do understand, but it shouldnt be allowed)

Agreed. He signalled for a foul againest Yossi! Even though he got kicked off the pitch by Bosingwa. Absolutely crazy, why arn't Liverpool taking this further.

Mike Riley is the biggest United fan ever. I was suprised he sent Lampard off. Or maybe he thought Chlesea are the bigger threat to United's title challenge....

No self respecting Man Utd referee would have sent a Chelsea player off over a Liverpool player. Get your fachhtss right.
Or maybe he was giving Liverpool hope. False hope. But still hope nevertheless. 
He's notorious for awarding pennos to the home side at Old Trafford. Obviously, you'd expect that MU would win a few at home but I certainly wouldn't say he was anti-MU by any means. You'd only got to look at what happened back in 2004 to see some truly awful decisions favouring them (remember, not every bad decision will show up in stats - take Rio cleaning out Ljungberg for example)
Sending him off? What for? It was nothing.
Worst referee is Clattenburg, thankfully he is suspended. Of current referees Howard Webb is the worst, followed by Riley. Only Alan Wiley and Mark Halsey are doing a decent job in matches I've seen this year.
