Weekend Football; 31st -1st - *SPOiLERS*

Gooner may disagree but both Sky 'experts' said he deserved to be sent off (it was 2 yellows by the way (the right decision imo)) and so did Dermot Gallagher.

The 2 'experts' one who happened to be an ex-Liverpool player, and both Spurs men, hardly an unbiased opinion.

Gallagher the less said about an ex ref the better, he still won't disagree with a ref if he can help it.

I can't find a clip on youtube. I can post a link with the complete MOTD highlights but im pretty sure it's not allowed and i don't want to give you an excuse to suspend me ;)

sky experts, and Dermot Gallagher agree it was, which pretty much proves it wasn't a red card doesn't it :p

It was that weekend where, I forget who it was, wasn't red carded the day before in another terrible decisions so clearly all the ref's were told, if anyone, you know does anything, hand out a few red cards so we don't look pathetic and weak. The thing the day before though I can't off hand remember what it was, was clearly a red, while this one wasn't but was directly influenced by the decisions the day before. 99% of the world thought it was a joke decision, that says enough for me.

Either way, that doesn't somehow make Gerrards diving or own fouls better, or the decision to send off Lampard any less ridiculous.

It was Arca.

Indeed it was. I said at the time that Adebayor may have got away with the 1st yellow had the Arca' incident not happened but he ran the risk by raising his studs like that (iirc Redknapp said that was a straight red ;)). It wasn't that controversial and could have gone either way.

1704: Breaking news: The Football Association has confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa for his challenge on Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun on Sunday.

So, physical assault on the football field is acceptable, but winning a tackle (Frank Lampard) is a red card offence. Pathetic.

Utterly pitiful, FA showing they have no balls what so ever, and Chelsea getting beneficial treatment

As expected because the lino saw it nothing can be done about it. Crazy FA rules.

Referee Mike Riley has informed the FA that, while he did not see the incident himself, it was seen by his assistant Mo Matadar. No action was taken against Bosingwa by the officials.

Under the FIFA Laws of the Game, the FA is prohibited from taking disciplinary action when incidents are seen at the time by the match officials.

I love the way they hide behind FIFA as if there laws are so in line with FIFA regulations when they allow appeals even though FIFA say they shouldn't.

This has nothing to do with the club's involved, the F.A. are just an absolute bunch of incompetent inconsistent and downright idiotic fools. They handed out a 4 match ban to Evra for an incident that took place after a football match, withheld documents that should have been given to Man Utd to review before announcing his punishment. If they don't rescind that Lampard red, something seriously needs done, rules need updating if they are going to fall back on their ancient outdated lawbook.
