****Weekend Football Fixtures - 10-11th January 09 SPOILERS****

This is awful for Chelsea. It will take some doing to get them back into a winning side after this. With a team full of aging players and no money left to spend, this could be another sign that Chelsea is a club on its way out of the top 3.

I really can't see us beating juve at this rate...Im stunned at how bad we are under scolari against the top opposition. Players severely underperforming and tactics that aren't working. I really can't wait to get essien back into our midfield and get rid of the deadweight that are ballack and deco.

Should be at least 5 today.

Chelsea collapse against any real opposition. They stink under Scolari.

I can't recall them being this bad ever post-RA. Mikel looks out of his depth against top sides, Drogba doesn't look like he cares (and hasn't done all season), Bosingwa can't defend and Ballack looks finished.

AV are great, but I dont think they have the same quality just yet, and I cant see anyone else getting up that far

AV are well worth the fourth spot no doubt, Arsenal dont deserve it so far

YESSSSS Final whistle and clean sheet - absolutely fabulous

edit - Essien is without a doubt a huge miss, but that is kind of papering over the cracks

good weekend overall then, great performance from evans as well as a little special mention as i don't think he'll grab headlines. back to after game reaction

btw i think it's a bit unfair on carragher to be asked to do this (i know it's his choice)

Interesting match, Utd were very good and Chelsea were surprisingly (to me anyway) poor.

One thing is for certain, its looking like its going to be an exciting run in to the title this year

Best thing you can say about Evans is that you've hardly noticed Ferdinand being out.

As for Carra, he loves it. I doubt he'd have been on the show had it not have been for what's been said.

Evans had one dodgy header pretty early on - but otherwise he did very well indeed (although Drogba isnt himself and didnt seem to try that hard, which helped Evans, but he still deserves a lot of credit)

Edit - also credit to Ronaldo, he didnt have any petulant moments, he wasnt brilliant (commpared to last season admittedly) but he tried very hard and deserved the goal that was dis-allowed

Chelsea just played too narrow. They didn't get the full backs into the game as much. Was Boswinga injured? If not, dont know why he got took off.

By next saturday, Utd could be back at the top :D

Fantastic game, it really shows why sir alex is the boss, with lots of people questioning his team selection :) (myself included!)
