Weekend Football **SPOILERS** 14-16 March

Of course a trophy means more than doing the double over united but living and working in manchester with a load of man united fans is definitely gonna be fun next week! Tempted to wear my liverpool shirt to work!

Typical Millwall fans ? never inside the ground to be able to leave ?
normally outside fighting ?

haha post of the day I think!

the question is after multiple nasty tackles, spitting at fans, at players, argueing with refs, and generally being one of the nastiest people in the sport for a long long time how is he allowed to play at all. I'd be very happy if the FA decided they simply wouldn't allow players like him to play in our leagues at all.

Also wasn't an Arshavin goal, one defender cleared hit the other one coming in and went in. very few chances against a poor team so far who could have scored. Yet again Wengers decided to play an odd team, not try and give RVP a chance to get scoring again, playing Theo on the wing where he looks fairly useless by and large.

we should win easily still, eventually but we aren't half making it hard again, against a poor team.

Theo's looking sharp and RVP is being rested as he played the whole Roma game, although as usual, you think you know better

A victory for Arsenal today will be a victory for football, Blackburn are there just to play a game of rugby

Aye, I think the goal's slightly set them back a bit, but they're not being the usual Allerdyce side so far.

Here's hoping an early second half goal to settle us.

yes and no, again its really people out of position. We have one winger whose good at it but doesn't have pace, one who has pace but isn't a winger, bendtner plays better with the short fast guy infront of him, and our midfield pair need replacing, maybe a couple of the golden girls would be better.

I would again say that Arshavin isn't match fit, we haven't found his right position and we've put him in the most important of the pitch. RVP's run our season as the withdrawn striker as central midfield is missing any creativity without Fabregas so a non match fit guy is basically being played as our main playmaker and he doesn't know the team.

Bendtner good again and Theo again a crap finish, maybe take off song or denilson shove arshavin into midfield and get vela or rvp on upfront.

lol, now Theo did ok and bendtner fluiffed it maybe, its mabye just ahead of him and he wasn't close enough to hit it with his right.

Hah, well what can I say, we didn't get beat today, we got destroyed. It looked a game too many with players who didn't play with any passion, and aside from Park and Tevez, no one seemed to try.

I was surprised by Fergusons comments that Man Utd played the better football and created the most chances, I disagree, we were truly awful and Liverpool knowing they needed to win, turned up and turned us over big time.

It was a matter of time before O'Shea started to cost us at LB, why we didn't play Evans or Fletcher over him I don't know, but the ball kept going to Sheasy and Sheasy continued to punt the ball in the air or dink it every time and we got caught out, especially with the last goal.
I've criticized Liverpool all season for their route-1 football, but it was that same Route-1 football that destroyed us today with human error time and time again.

Liverpool deserved it for me today, they got stuck in to a team of fancy dans who weren't up to the hard work and playing the way we have lately it was only a matter of time before we got taught a lesson.

I don't think I know better, i know I do :p

The problem isn't resting RVP its that without Fabregas RVP has run the team and we've put Arshavin in as his replacement when he doesn't know the team.

We've been FAR better early second half with Arshavin seemingly pushed further out and Nasri maybe in midfield, or just a lot more movement by everyone. SO yes I was right, Nasri hasn't the pace to get from deep in midfield into the box fast enough, but as a withdrawn striker he's starting further up the pitch, has less far to run in the same time and has been instantly 10 times better as has everyone else.

Arshavin isn't ready, fit or experienced enough WITH THESE PLAYERS to play the playmaker role yet, Nasri is too slow to be a great winger for us, do we have a single winger who isn't better in the middle?

Also yes Blackburn have reverted right back to Souness football under Allerdyce, Hughes had a physical team he was slowly turning into a proper football team, but they've gone right back and the Diouf simply shouldn't be on the pitch.

Shows how much you know about football. man u fan by any chance?

Sheffield Wednesday Season Ticket Holder.
"typical man u fans"

I pointed out that most football fans think that "typical millwall fans always fighting"

Leave things like that out. It wasn't a comment talking about football as a discussion.

Thats rich comming from you with the amount of rucks at a sheffield derby.

... but you're a millwall fan ? ...

The Sheffield Derby is a huge game. A city coming together over a football game, two sides that are like a religion, you're either a blue or a red.

Millwall just beat people up ?...

park was utds best player by a mile i thought, he was quick in possession and caused us problems and won the penalty. The only other player that looked like causing any probs was tooney, guess he wont be making comments like that again.

Thought kuyt and lucas should get some praise, kuyt was tracking back so many times in the RB position and made loads of tackles, abd was hungry today. Lucas tracked back very well, doubling up on ronaldo with aurelio and keeping ronny quiet. Also made a good few passes and steadied the ship.

Its just so frustrating that we drew against, fulham, west ham, hull. an extra 6 points if we had put chances away in those games and we would be in this race.

I hope Ferguson tore the players a new one at full time. They all need to hit the training ground and learn how to pass a ball. The only positive from this, is that we usually go on a good run of games after a defeat. Can't take anything away from a very deserved win for Liverpool. Well at the end of the day we're still 4 points clear with 1 game in hand. I don't think it will affect what is widely perceived as the eventual outcome this season, but it's a massive wake up call to those players who think it's won already and all they have to do is turn up for the match. Well played Liverpool. :)

So if millwall was to "beat up" as you put it a red london club seeing as millwall are blue your saying it is acceptable?
