Weekend Football **SPOILERS** 4-5 April

We made hard work of it at times today, including some awful marking, leaving Robinho with a superb chance, which he hit at the post.

Good to see Walcott, Fabregas and Adebayor back and the latter hitting the net straight away.:)

This thread has been hijacked by Liverpool fans!! You have no place here!! :p

I thought Drossena was alright tbh,

Yea. The only thing he done wrong was the 2nd header against the bar.

edit: what's with the huge number of backroom staff Newcastle had today? The bench was full and they had to bring chairs out for a load of them and still Smith ended up sitting on the floor.

Was lucky not to be about 4-0 down at half time, but unlucky to lose like that. No idea where the hell the ref got 4 minutes at the end from though!!

He seems to have lost a little weight and seems a bit more willing now.

Surprising how much back up we have on the left now,Insua was excellent.

Even early on when he was struggling he looked ok going forward. Over the last few games where he's played left midfield he looks far more comfortable and it's nice to have another. With Insua's emergence we probably won't need Dossena and i'd be shocked if he wasn't sold in the summer though.

Lucas was decent today also, like he was at Utd the other week. Hopefully he's gradually coming to terms with the physical side of the Prem because i don't think there's too much issue with his ability.

The biggest complaint I have about Lucas are his clumsy tackles and I can't see him losing that aspect of his game. Certainly got a lot of ability but I don't see him as a DM when he can't even tackle as well as Scholes.

Glad we got a win and a clean sheet, more importantly though, Cesc back with 2 assists, Ade back with 2 goals and Walcott back looking very good. Just in time for the champs league :). Where's drunkennobbers rant about how wasteful Ade is and Bentdner just needs the games to be better??? Ade first game back from injury after 2 months, a nicely placed header and a very coolly taken second.

1-0

EAdebayor has done nothing, given it away, not really fighting, as per usual he gets a goal, thinks he's Henry, decides to play as a winger/striker like Henry and ends up stuck in the corner and giving it away, joke of a player.
2-0

adebayor, it does my head in he's AWFUL, the only reason Ade scores is Fabregas is just THAT good. Seriously almost any striker in the world would have scored that, about 5 people would have got that pass inch perfect.

Adebayor miscontrols, turns into a lucky turn, runs with it, ridiculously simple pass to Arshavin that he screws up, he is truly awful, unfortunately these lucky performances where other people set him up with tap ins and Wenger won't drop him again for ages, while we draw game after game after game :(

You sure he doesn't? :p

LOL, well, I don't think so. :)

Admittedly I skip over DM's posts but only because of their format, they're so hard to read in "wall of text" form.

As for what he talks about, well, personally I think Adebayor is a bit pants, he seems to just go missing for large amounts of games. You can't really rely on him to get 20+ a season. I would never take Bendtner over him though, Bendt's finishing is really bad.

I think that's why Arshavin was bought in. Although I also think it'll take a bit more than that, maybe someone to partner Fabregas and Arsenal should do well.

I also quite rate Walcott, massive potential but IIRC he's been injured a fair bit this season?

I can see Villa getting trampled on tomorrow after the Liverpool score :(

They really won't, given the team we're going to be forced to put out tomorrow.

I would post my opinions on the Liverpool game but I think i'd get a holiday. :)

I was looking at our (United) run in today and I marked Villa and Arsenal down as banana skins. I expect us to drop points in both games, especially tomorrow given our recent form.
