** Weekend Football Thread ** *spoilers*

Well if you are going to **** into the referee about him making a bad call, there has to be something for him to call wrong in the first place, calling him a cheat because he didnt see Gomez brush the ball with the faintest of touches when he is standing behind Carrick and all he sees is Carrick knocking it away from the keeper and the ball not deviating is a bit much.

Nobody called him a cheat.

It wasn't a pen.

Yet you said it was because he didn't get "enough" on it.

Therefore showing a misunderstanding of the rules of the game.

Sorry, whats getting `enough` on it? I don't remember that being part of the rules?

Enough to change the direction on the ball maybe. I couldn't tell personally, but my pov is that if Gomes hadn't brought Carrick down, the latter could have well carried on and hit the ball into the goal with his left foot.

Can someone please answer the question i asked twice? Would much appreciate it.

Why did i get £20 back and not £24 when i put £4 on united to win at 5/1?

Do you no longer get your money back?

No mate, Gomez took Carrick Down, the only argument is if he got the ball first, its only the fact that Carrick wasnt going straight down the middle of goal that meant he wasnt sent off.

wow! I can't quite understand what all the fuss is about.
The penalty decision is pretty tough to call.
I can't really say if it was correct, were talking about a very slight contact on the ball if there was one. It's almost impossible to know for sure.
But peoples reaction..? As if it was the easiest decision in the world?
Remarkable.
For my money, it could have gone either way. If it was wrong, then its simply a very understandable human error. Much like not sending off the Spurs guy for his attempt at a leg breaker.
But I guess given its at old trafford, referees are not allowed mistakes. Any wrong decision is evidence of corruption
