** Weekend Football Thread ** *spoilers*

Berbatov was class today. The way he get's the ball and it just sticks to him is priceless. Shame the same can't be said about Tevez who makes it look like a bouncy ball on a bouncy castle.

The Heysel reference one, they ( rightly ) complain re Munich songs but persist with this

Whilst the song I thing you mean is not very tasteful, your comparison of two very different events is not a very pleasant one either.

its a continuous argument though, one day berba's ****, next day tevez is ****, no one can win, all depends what type of game there playing, which is why berba started, with big games id pick tevez

If thats the best effort Boro can muster, then they deserve to go down.

I think the Newcastle-Boro match next week will be the only game of football in history in which both teams lose.

A really young team playing against Pompey today and it looks like Eboue is going to be playing at Left Back which should be interesting. Likes of Ade, Fab, Toure rested.

It's gunna be a cracking day in the Championship. As a Reading fan I'd love us to go up. I can see us beating Birmingham but I think Sheffield United have certain old loyalties favouring them quite strongly. ;)

And what a start at Stamford Bridge.

Edit: And I just realised Reading are playing tommorow. :(

Edit2: All championship matches tommorow! I'm officially an idiot. :D

I thought Wenger said he wasn't going to be resting key players ahead of the second leg of the Champions League semi final?

Chelsea 1-0 Fulham

Anelka

edit:

1-1

well it would have made absolutely 0 sense not to have really, so i don't know where he was coming from. Boro were a bit poor really, not up for it. Thought we might make hard work of it early on as no one seemed to have their shooting boots on.

I think he means the fact that Heysel was caused by Liverpool fans, whereas Munich was a accident.

I never said otherwise, my point is that both involved people dying so to make a football song based on either is distasteful and to critcise one while accepting the other is hypocritical

I was gonna add, I wasn't making digs either way.

I agree with your point there.

Just need to Man U fans to stop singing about Shearer now. He turned you down, we get it, now be quiet.

does it not go by alphabetical at all? or that something made up?

I remember reading that if it's absolutely equal they get the two teams down to Wembley to take penalities.

That's only if they drew both games against each other by the same score, same goals scored, conceded, wins, draws, losses, etc. etc.
