** Weekend Football Thread ** *spoilers*

Thought Boro were poor today. It's about time they didn't turn up against us anyway.

Expecting the same lineup against Arsenal as last week now, considering VdS, Carrick, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick and Anderson were all rested.

I think, actually I know I am in love with Andrey Arshavin. Arsenal are so lucky to get him, complaining about bad linesman decisions are over, he evens it all.

Arsenal looking very very good, mostly because we're back to 4-4-2 and not playing Ade, without him and with a 4-4-2 we play old style Arsenal fluid attacking football. Eboue's been very good along with Arshavin, they are working the right side of Pompie hard, overlapping great, getting good service into the box.

Vela hilariously is half Ade's size but wins more of the ball and has outmuscled anyone whose tried while Ade barely fights for anything. Shame he didn't get a goal, great block by Herman though. Bendtner's, Arshavins, Ramsey's, Vela's movement has been superb. Theo is debatable, he's winning far more of the ball than normal but his service is still dreadful, should easily have put either Vela/Bendtner through for a simple tap in very early in the game but a dreadful cross gave them no chance. Song and Djourou look incredable weak and Song as per usual keeps stepping up for tackles way to high for a centre back, each of their chances has come from Song stepping up when he shouldn't miles up the pitch where he shouldn't even be. He's woeful no matter where he is.

We need to not play Ade and stick with 4-4-2 to have any chance of outscoring Man U midweek, but I can't see Wenger doing it. So many times this year in cups and a few games we've switched to this young 4-4-2 and they've been by far our best performances each time, yet he still goes back to our crappy 4-5-1 for big games.

Arshavin really is turning into a truly fantastic player for the club, but he simply looks better with people around him making smart runs, nothing could be better for the club now than ditching Ade in the summer, even getting a good dm comes second to that. I'm still not entirely sure if Arshavin was wagging the finger to say its not a penalty or not, but if he was, well theres nothing I respect more in the game than players who don't cheat and make an effort to tell ref's when they got something completely wrong.

Yeap, 10 points (11 effectively), 3 games left. I'd just play the reserves and get some league experience. A lot of our players have looked tired; even though I'd love to get points against Chelsea and UTD, if we can afford to stick lesser players on then I honestly at this stage don't mind.
