Tevez > Arshavin.

Really?! Arshavin has scored twice as many as Tevez this season and he's supposed to be a striker, at Man Utd!! and you can't complain about minutes played either!

I think/hope you're joking but I have no idea.

EDIT - I don't think anybody can argue with the tag world class for Arshavin, but Tevez isn't I'm afraid, he's got a lot of average parts to his game really, Ferguson seems to have discovered this

Deadly serious. Arshavin has done nothing in his career til his move to Arsenal at 28. Before last season no one had even heard of him being a top player. Sure he's looked good, but if a player doesn't look good in a midfield of Diaby, Denilson and Song then frankly there is something good.

He's scored more goals than I was expecting, the 4 against Liverpool was a freak occurance because barring those 4 goals he was absolutely rubbish in that game, it was Nasri that ran the show.

Look at Tevez for Argentina for a better showing of a player with confidence, Man Utd have done nothing for the poor lads confidence, dropping him unnecessarily. Remember, when Rooney was out injured Tevez and Berbatov formed a fantastic partnership, but it was Tevez who was unceremoniously dropped again.

Tevez hasn't had a great amount of starts and often comes into the game running around and ball winning in the middle for the team, that's his role. Look at Tevez last season, he was sensational, as he was when he single handedly kept West Ham up.

Stats such as goals scored and assists don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things do they? Berbatov is right up there for Assists, but he's not exactly Mr. Popular. Macheda has 2 goals in less than 2 hours of Premiership football, but I wouldn't say he was better than RVP because he's goals to minutes is higher.

Not having a go, but that quotes a bit mad? Apart from the 4 goals he has scored he was rubbish? What else did you want him to do?

However I completely agree on the whole he's not that good argument your saying

You're criticising him in a game where he had about 6 touches and scored with 4 of them? I'm gonna leave it.

He played a massive, massive role in winning the UEFA Cup and played incredibly against a selection of top players at Euro 2008, and he's played awesome against top teams in England. He's shown he can face quality opposition and shine time and time again, this isn't a coincidence really!

But I was hasty, he can't be proven as world class yet, after next season though you'll be saying the same no doubt.

As for Tevez, he's a striker who can't score. I don't get how he compares :/

Cheers for clarifying, I didn't see the match therefore didn't want to talk ****

Liverpool dominated Arsenal everywhere on the pitch for 90+ minutes, Arshavin got passed the ball about 4 times, twice he scored, twice he got crowded out due to good pressure from Liverpool and no options. He didn't play badly.

He didn't play well. I can't fault his finishes, they were superb. As for Liverpool dominating Arsenal everywhere on the pitch, that's not true, Nasri had an absolute blinder of a game for me and ran the show.
