** Weekend Football Thread **

To be honest, I dont think Newcastle will get anything from either Fulham or Villa.
Got a sneaking feeling that the derby game is going to a draw as well.
I think the best Boro and Newcastle can hope for is a one point from their final 3.

I really hope you're wrong.

I think if we can beat' Boro we might just have the morale boost we need to get at least a point at Fulham. Probably not get anything from Villa but they way they played today suggests we're in with a chance.

So much rests on Monday night.

I am looking forward to the Arsenal vs Chelsea games tomorrow , should be plenty of goals , i feel a Chelsea 3 points , i wonder if Drogba will play ?

Hull have got Bolton and Man U.

*edit* @ dokko I don't think they were the best results for us today except Hull losing.

Our interest lies in Hull & Sunderland, and they only got a point between them today, in winnable games for both sides, that for me is a great day of results for us.

Win against Boro and were out of the relegation zone, beat Fulham and were rolling. Think we'll draw Fulham though, reckon the way Villa are playing last game of the season might be a gift to us from them, wouldn't have said that 2 months ago, but they've lost it, serves them right for dropping out of Europe.

Oh how I will laugh if Big Sam keeps Blackburn up and Newcastle go down :D
I won't. I like Big Sam but Newcastle are always a good game for Liverpool.

Pretty happy with that result. Thought West Ham would've given us a good game today but they were weak, very weak. Think our title hopes will be over by the time we play next :(

Are they?

Quite often yes, I am continually reading various people commenting that Liverpool are overly defensive and too cautious etc etc. Seems somewhat odd for a team labelled with those tags to score over 100 goals in a season.

Bit of a dull boring match to be honest, was over relatively early in terms of being a contest. Torres looked a little out of sorts, guess he is still carrying that injury.

Up to Man City now to see if they can put the kybosh on Utd tomorrow.
