Weekend Footy 29th-1st November/December *Spoilers*

Good result. Evra was fantastic today going forward, and Rooney had a good game too I thought. The Giggs substitution was a strange one, if Fergie wanted someone to come on and just put pressure on the defenders then surely Tevez was the better option.

Maybe Tevez isnt with it (with everything going on)......

(although if he wasnt why put him on the bench)

Giggs is always seemingly given benefit of the doubt (most of the time wrongly too)

Its a joke how they will now spend time going over and over this I mean hes handballed it WHY!! No need what so ever its a booking clear as day. No need to talk about it so stfu ruud.

BaZ tbh I don't want to get banned but all I will say is it's all well and good saying they are black and white bookings. But as long as I have a hole in my arse I defy any Liverpool just to sit there and accept it if six of their players were booked.

In fact, I challenge you or Anders0n to point us to any thread whereby Liverpool have had a load of bookings and you have all just sat there saying, "Well done Ref you got them all spot on". I suspect it will be a long bloody wait!!!!!

As for the discent there were plenty of occasions where City players kicked the ball away so very little in the way of consistency.

Clear fouls away from home, away team is going to get punished more than the home team. Ronaldo pushed his luck, foul then CLAPPING in the refs face then the hand ball. Ronaldo thinks he is bigger than the refs.

Good result, although i dont know what others feel but im slowly tilting back towards tevez instead of berba now.

Did you see how little we created with Tevez in the team last week? He was awful and until he gets his confidence back there's no way he should be playing ahead of Berbatov. We were so much better today compared to last week and that was mainly because of the way Berbatov linked up with everyone, and didn't come ridiculously deep looking for the ball like Tevez has been doing of late.

Maybe when you've calmed down a bit and watch it again on MOTD2 you'd realise that Webb wasn't that bad.

As for whether myself or any other Liverpool fan would complain about a ref when we've had loads of players booked (i can't recall a game in recent years where we've had that many booked ;)). You're probably right but that doesn't make your criticism of Webb ok though. He got the majority of the bookings right.

Im really not sure - the problem I have though is the £26m or so Utd have to pay

It doesnt really matter whether berba is worth the £31m, we have paid it and we have to be happy about it - can we afford to pay out another load of cash when a holding / strong midfielder, a winger and possibly a defender are all just as necessary if not more so

I have only one comment for this thread...

CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND, CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!

A performance by champions today and I am in no doubt that we will win the premier league again this season.

Jamie Redknapp is laughable by the way hahaha!

I completely agree with all of that - I just wish Berba was a lil more energetic (in the right areas)

you are spot on though

I think Ferdinand recently said " we need to relearn how to win 1-0 away" which is very true, the away form is average at best, hopefully we can keep this up before and after the trip to Japan

Didn't watch the same game as me then? Berbatov was consistently playing miles behind Rooney.

My point was that Tevez was coming REALLY deep against Villa last week, and just didn't link up with Rooney or anyone else at all. Head down constantly.

Berbatov comes deep, gets the ball, sticks his head up and passes the ball, quite often to Rooney as it happens. I fail to believe anyone can think Tevez deserves to play ahead of Berbatov at the moment. Just look the first half today, we were brilliant, everyone was linking up together brilliantly.
