Weekend Footy 29th-1st November/December *Spoilers*

I thought you got booked for intentional handball? Its not like he was protecting his face from a challenge or anything - its one of those that even if its not an automatic booking the vast majority of the times youll get booked...

Perhaps his potential excuse changes might not have impressed Webb either?

What he did was just so curious - I think thats whats got us talking about it...

In Fifa's Laws of the Game 2005, Law 12 says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)".

Page 67 of the document gives "additional information for referees, assistant referees and fourth officials".
It adds: "Referees are reminded that deliberately handling the ball is normally punished only by a direct free-kick or penalty kick if the offence occurred inside the penalty area.

"A caution or dismissal is not normally required."

So there is no automatic need for a booking.

So there is no automatic need for a booking.

Never knew that.

So it wasn't really a sending off unless he uses the handball to try and gain an advantage?

Well it's not like we can appeal it anyway.

Arsenal have no one who can take on players, they run for a few yards then pull back on them selves and pass backwords giving Chelsea time to re-group :(

Can't see us scoring in this game, although Chelsea look like they have another in them.
