I only managed a very brief go, felt a bit like Gauntlet with pretty Anime style graphics.

I'm quite enjoying it but only had a couple of goes so far, very Gauntlety, potential for it to get a bit repetitive on the main game though but does have time attack modes and a couple of unlockables to keep it interesting and allow for quick games. Enjoying it a fair bit more than I did Everyday Shooter anywho, some nice weapon effects too :)

On a related note, the Blast Factor expansion has really improved Blast Factor if anyone only has the original - still some improvements to be made, but the scrolling shooter genre on psn is starting to really improve :)

Is the demo of Echochrome still available on US PSN? Ive had a quick look but can only find full game.

It's gone, I think. Also when I installed the full game it overwrote the demo (ps3). Weird. There is no way I will get time to play *** amazing Echochrome since I got the PixelJunk Monsters Encore addon!!!

if anyone's interested, this looks like the order for the upcoming Capcom games for this year for PSN (probably US first for the new games):

Super Puzzle Fighter (speculated as 29th May, source (post 85))

and then:

Commando 3 - June
1942: Joint Strike - July
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Plunder!

Source (relevant bit quoted below) - really looking forward to all of those.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg for us over here at Capcom as we are super excited to bring you exciting, fun and compelling content for the PLAYSTATION Network throughout the summer and fall! Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, a chaotic destroy-everything-in-site arcade shooter, should hit the store in early June. 1942: Joint Strike, the follow up to the 194X series, arrives in July, followed by Bionic Commando Rearmed, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and a pirate themed RTS called Plunder!

I'm guessing that's a monthly release cycle up till October (add 3 - 4 months for the UK ... :)).

Has anyone who got Dark Mist managed to defeat the last boss? I noticed some people on the time attack mode have done it under a minute, really want to unlock those extra two modes ... :)

I can't wait for all this new capcom stuff, especially street fighter hd and bionic commando.

Dark Mist - I haven't really played it much at all, I don't like the fact that if you die your back to the beginning of the maze, I give up too easily :p

Me too.

I can't wait for Commando, the new 1942, oh, and of course, Bionic Commando. Then I'll be waiting for some new old school scrolling shooters. Superstardust was an excellent old school asteroids shooter, with excellent graphics and sound, now it's time to see R-Type style games, using the full graphical effects available to devs. A few years ago, old school scrolling shooters, using latest 3D card tech seemed to be coming out all the time on the PC. Still 2D to play, but using polys, and super fancy explosions etc. I'd love to see something like that on PSN. Or even 3D remakes, I really enjoyed Silpheed etc on PS2, hell, I even still have the PS1 version of Project X here.

I've surprised myself how much I've played the 1942 games on my PSP, in the Capcom classics, so roll on the PSN version, and I'm looking forward to Bionic Commando as much as any "major" title this year.

V1N.

Hey guys - was looking on the PSN store to buy some of the classic games for my PSP - two questions really:

How do you know what filesize the games are? I wan't to make sure I could fit them on my PSP memory card.

Secondly - I download them through my PC onto my PSP, can I only play them on that then? My Dad has a PS3 and would be cool to play the games on that too.

Doesn't it say the filesize before downloading?

Why don't you download them on the PS3 so you can play them on the PS3 as well? (if it says PS3/PSP)

Nah it doesn't say on the page of the game (although it might say on the checkout page).

The PS3 isn't mine it's my dads, I don't live at home and his isn'talways hooked upto the internet so thats why I want to do it online - would be just cool to be able to take the games back on my PSP, and run them on his big HDTV while I am there!

Im not sure but if you used the same account for the PC store and the PS3 store, then wont it show up on the PS3 as an already downloaded item ( little red symbol)? If thats the case then when on the PS3 you could just re download the game on your PS3.

And if it's not the same account you can propably make that account on the PS3 and download it that way.

hmmm i'll have to look into that!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the present for my birthday is an 8GB memory card for my PSP - gonna load it up with classic games off of the store for my holiday flights!

Does a 8GB stick work without issue in a PSP or is it the same as SD cards where the 8GB cards are special?
