Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

After reading the IGN review of Secret Agent Clank I think I will give it a miss, not going to download the demo as I have the full version still left unplayed.

Nothing else interesting either so it's back to my MGS4 no kills/no alert run :)

I just played the Secret Agent Clank demo from start to finish, and have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I wasn't expecting much, after reading nothing but negative reviews about it, and in the R&C games, the Clank parts are my least favourite... to start with I thought it was a bit Meh! But as it went on, I quite enjoyed it, enough, as I said, to play it to the end (and it was a decent length demo)

I enjoyed the rhythm parts near the end, in fact, I'd call them quite good fun!

I may well look out for this, when it hits the budget bins ;)

Vin.

EDIT: I'd make you an offer for Secret Agent Clank, but I guess the postage from the Netherlands would push the cost up.
Or I could trade you, I've a still unopened Fifa '08 here for the PSP, plus some UMD movies, inc Matrix 2 & 3? ;)

The PS3 seriously needs some new... decent demos on PSN, that and demos need to have their own section on the store.

I'm fed up of having to scroll through all of the games, "is this a demo... no... how about... no..."

Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty clocks in at 2.3GB

The upcoming PSN-exclusive follow-up to the successful Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will be available for the masses soon: August 21st, to be exact. Many have been wondering how large the download would be, considering Tools of Destruction took advantage of the incredible space offered by Blu-ray. Those interested in downloading the upcoming game should know that Quest for Booty clocks in at slightly over 2GB, or 2.3GB to be precise.

While that's a large download, that's only slightly larger than most episodes of Qore and a few demos. Hopefully, it'll take longer to play the game (about 3-4 hours) than it does to download it.

2.3GB? Yowzers!

Knowing the connections round here lately, it'll take longer to download that than it would for me to finish the bloomin' game! :(

Do you need tools of destruction to play it? If so then that would explain the small file size, if not, can't be that long surely?

It will use textures, sounds and other files already on the disk, the 2gb is just adding features to whats already there, hense it wouldnt need to be very big atall.
