Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

ok im really looking forward to Killzone 2, Heavy Rain and Infamous. All look immense (from those latest vids on psn)

Infamous looks like a beautiful 3rd person free roaming post apoc city experience :D

and tbh it beats Fallout 3 for graphics. Fallout 3 to me looks a bit too dreary and brown.

Infamous reminded me of the force unleshed sandbox style.
 
thought force unleashed was okish. controls felt very clunky. Sometimes up on the stick would be up and sometimes down on the analogue stick would be up.

graphics average - dont like the fact that laser burns on objects dissapear after 3 seconds and that you cant burn your way through doors :D

Physics is not bad i guess but its one of those ones where its only special objects which are moveable/destructable.

sound is a bit meh. No james earl jones to do vader?
will probably still get it coz of the star wars factor.
 
Quite a hefty update on both stores this week, anyone tell me if what city the Last guy US demo is in? (if that makes sense lol)

BTW why has my quick reply button turned into a picture of a underboss avatar? :confused:

Pictures. We should stuff all these new games and dig out the old Golf, I still got my copy and will probably grab the Kratos character for a mess around :)

For me it's a 'new' game as I bought Everybody's Golf World Tour, Ridge Racer 7 and Skate 2nd hand last week :p

Lots of game footage in the videos, Killzone 2 looks very nice but FarCry 2 looked not so good and I can't wait for Motorstorm Pacific Rift, I want that now :)

Does Kratos work for you?

I downloaded the extra character along with R&C Booty.

It installed, then I noticed I needed to download a patch for Everybody's Golf.

Did that.

Installed.

Still no Kratos.

Downloaded the character update again, installed, back to Everybody's Golf, still no Kratos.

Maybe it's because I've only played it a few times, and still only have novice characters... and Kratos will appear later?

I did the online update then bought Kratos, 100KB download...seems he was already in game just needed activating. He's on the expert row but you have to cycle to the right.

Thanks, I'll take another look later.
I've only played a few matches so far, and only used Novice characters thus far, so that should explain it!

I'll just have to get into it more.
Too many games, too little time... and I keep buying more!
Finally got myself sorted out with a copy of Audiosurf this weekend.
It's half price on Steam, $5, and worth every penn..erm... cent!
