Weight Loss.

My diet use to be ok but I would have fast food/takeaways, frozen food, now I just eat foods that are lean and fresh, I never use salt anymore and use rapeseed oil if I do use oil, I dont even fancy fast food anymore (if I do every go I just get chicken kebab with salad), cant remember the last time I did and only been out once this year for a 3 course meal.

I always enjoyed exercising, I enjoy it even more now I can do it comfortably, that was the biggest problem at first, getting back into it, you feel like it was like too much hard work but getting fit and staying fit is never easy if it was everybody would be built like Adonis's.

Just bought pair of £30 Asics trainers today in the sale for some roadwork.

I want to lose quite a bit, but I'm not sure on how much. I figure I'll see how I go say in 1/2/3 months and then see if I can work out a weight I'd like to hit.

People always so I'm not fat or I don't look fat, but it's just because of my big build.

Not sure how much?
Set some goals fella, it's where a lot of people fail either setting crap goals or not setting any goals!

Try pressups from the knees, that would be about 75kg bench equivalent.

As has been said already 600-800 calories is insanely low.. I think from the pure heat loss from a human being you need to intake more than 1400 calories to stay alive over a period of time.. i'm sure others will have greater insight into what to do instead...

running is hard to get into (not sure i've ever really gotten into it) but is good for your self esteem and should be good for fitness..

since starting American Kickboxing at uni my fitness has increased fantastically (i also notice how fast it decreases over holiday periods)... if you find a good club for any type of activity you should find the motivation to keep up some sort of activity and push yourself at it

diet is also a very key in losing weight, but as i said others can advise..

try leg raises..- i find them very effective for the leg and abdominal area, and far more tiring than situps

no?.. they do seem to help around the upper leg area... maybe just me though

or were you suggesting them ? :P

You don't need to suggest leg exercises to me :p if we can call them a leg exercise!

Leg raises work the hip flexors, the rectus femoris is recruited but it's no substitute for a compound I'm affraid. A good finisher by all means.

Today I have done

Gym, did legs today, Squats, Dead lifts, Leg Extension couple of others
4 laps in pool, just got out and some fit bird came in :(
2 mile run in 19:10
5 mins on punch bag
100 skips with the skipping rope cool down

3 months ago I would have probably been able to do just the running

Was full of idiots, 4 bicep boy students got in and just messed about, its only 25m and half is divided off for fast swimmers and that was full.

I normally only do 4-8 laps just to stretch my muscles/joints and bit of resistance, not the strongest swimmer but getting better.

Good luck matey. I was 23 stone 10 around 7 months ago and now 15 stone dead. Very low calorie diet for me and introducing a bike and gym into it over the last 2 months. Everyone is different find what works for you and stick at it.

I've not really done much today (besides worked) so I'm having a day off :p

Back to the grind tomorrow though.

Remember proper rest is very important. I've done no more than walk to the kitchen half a dozen times today. The rest of the time i've been lying down watching TV.

thought that was funnier than you got credit for :D
Why thank you :)

Yep, rest is important. I've been swimming the last 6 days (lengths: 70,80,100,60,80,60) so the most exercise tomorrow will be standing in the pool helping my boy swim. No actual exercise for me though :D

Done nothing yesterday (satday) back in the gym today (sunday)

I dont think its nice to personally insult someone.

Lets laugh at people.

Personal insult? lol :D
You are joking right? Or are you throwing your toys out the pram?
