Weight Loss.

Oh come on Cheets don't be so sensitive - it's just a bit of banter. We've all told you many times how impressed and how well you've done. :) Let's all have a bit of a joke - it was funny :)

Just tocuhy when it comes to swimming, nearly drowned when I was in a water park, got sucked under in a whirlpool thing when I was about 12.

Ahh I also am touch and go with swimming, come to the deeper parts I sometimes start to panic if I can not touch the floor with my feet/toes.. Best advice, do what I am doing now, go every so often and as you get confident start going deeper but dont just jump in..

Currently I am able to spend several minutes near the side when in 7 + ft deep which to me is amazing as on holiday I paniced just when it was 6 ft 5 deep and im 6 ft 2.

I don't swim. Made a post about why in another thread. Ended up looking for a missing kid when I was younger. Horrific stuff.

Anyway an update;

I feel a lot fitter. I didn't really do much over the weekend, probably walked a couple of miles in total though.

Went for a jog with my jogging partner and we did just over a mile this morning. ****ing ruined us. Took us a while but that wasn't here nor there. Enjoyed it, got a real buzz. Showered and now going to chill out play CoD and eat fruit.

Exercise bike / sit ups and wobbling this evening to look forward to :p

Good work that's what it's all about, there's absolutely no need to go killing yourself just a nice steady increase.
I prefer to cycle for my cardio mainly because I'm pretty sure I have compartment syndrome in my lower legs which completely kills any chance I have of being able to run a worthwhile distance.

I went out on my bike yesterday, just to the gym and back but it was raining got soaked but was worth it, when I got in I just felt great.

Nope, jogged over a mile today (literally ruined me) but felt good after. Going again tomorrow, but going to do more short sprints.

Had some chips tonight (Wednesday is my night off :p) but keeping up healthy eating, lots of rice and veg, fruit and muesli is fast becoming my favourite food haha!

Sit ups still going well as is the exercise bike. Going to start biking outside as I'm getting bored of watching stuff on my MacBook Pro while I bike.

Its good to have a cheat meal, I have one a week and and I have been drinking every weekend for years, need to cut that out if I want that ripped body.

Digged up my worst pic and latest pic

I slimmed down a lot after the 2008 pic but I have only really kicked in hard in the last 3 months, looks a big difference but (3 stones weight loss) when I look at myself now I still feel fat, I know I am not but I want/need to be better looking.

Not proud but rather have been like that when I was young and seen what its does, rather than being older and putting weight on/being lazy, the hardest thing is pushing yourself. I have lost every lb by doing it on my own, doing in by yourself is so hard but worth. Now I just put on ipod and do what I need to do.

That's a really impressive transformation Cheets.

Well done man!

It doesn't feel like I've lost anything to be honest and I'm the best part of a month in to this, I'm going to keep up the exercise and diet (will be much more strict) and I'm going to draw up a timetable of what to eat / exercise and try and stick to that when back from Denmark soon.

I'm off in a couple of weeks so I'm going to bike / jog every morning and diet, then I'll start my routine when I'm back.

How is the weight loss going?

I have been going gym and cycling/running but now think I need to step it up to next level, body is got fit and the distances I am doing are not showing any gains.

That transformation is amazing Cheets. I'm where you were in 2008. Been hard at the gym now for the last month, 3 days per week and walking and cycling in between. I've lost about 4kgs and radically changed my diet (although I don't think I've created enough of a calorie defecit). It's a much slower process than all those TV programs make out!!

If it's not too personal, after loosing the weight did you have the dreaded problem of excess skin around the stomach?

im trying to get in 1 hour walk daily, walking good exercise for big people like me :)
been going gym every day for about week, gonna see how long i can keep that up for lol
mainly just doing some cross trainer/rowing/bike might sign up for one of those circtuirt training classes.

No, I did it over time, not a massive dramatic weight loss so my skin is not as loose plus it was only 3 stone, when you see people lose like 5-10 stone their bodies look a mess, a few stretch marks on my around my biceps but they are starting to fade after using bio oil.

Ya, reading around they say that most of that excess skin occurs after rapid weight loss. I'm trying to do it slowly, and "only" have about 2 or 3 stone to loose. I'm hitting the sort of recommended target of 1kg per week anyway, so hope for the best.
