This is a motors section where people enjoy talking about cars and showing people what they have done to their Motors,

Keep up the good work Phil :)

Wasted money buying a manifold for noise, and about £300s worth of styling.. which actually looks good.... yeah sure whatever you say.

Looks good IN YOUR EYES. I think it looks poo, and trying to be something its not, but thats my opinion.

At the end of the day, decent cars and decent mods go... sheds and mods = poo

Right, so get a decent car before you mod the next one.

Trying to be something it isn't. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I own a Subaru Impreza... what does it look like? O yeah that's right it looks like an Impreza ! ;)

Get a decent car before I mod the next one... good comment, it's my first car, I'm 18, had it since 17, and have spent proportionally very little on it in the 1 and a half years I've had it.
Just keep trying to be mouthy, it suits you :)

Who is being mouthy sorry? You come into someone else's thread, slating them for modding as you so eloquently put it "a bucket", where yourself have spent time and money modding an underpowered ugly POS of a car?

Or can other people not have opinions if they conflict with your own?

Quoted again, just trying to figure this one out...

Subaru - All show, no go
Astra - No show, all go

You have a normal 2.0 engine... I wouldnt exactly call it all go mate.

paradigm, I asked a question of which is why mod all these cars, when evidently they're no good as he gets rid. You can call my car an underpowered POS, what do I care, you're a guy on the other end of a keyboard. Not once have I been snappy in this thread. Neither has Phil W either, but you seem to have taken it upon yourself to be the law. So do shutup

All go? It's a 2 litre Astra lets not get carried away.

Maybe i should rephrase then, i don't think its the fastest thing since sliced bread, however in terms of what it give back in performance in comparion to the scooby, it offers a lot more.

Hmm, seems to me you don't like it up you!

It's fine for you to slate Phil W for modding his car but if someone criticises your modding then it's not on? If you can't take it then don't dish it out.

FWIW I know which of the 2 cars I'd choose to win over an A-road blat, and AWD or no AWD it wouldn't be from the land of the rising sun.....

@ Scooby:

To many though you have wasted your money modding an inferior car. Why mod a NASP scooby? Because YOU wanted to. Personally I think its a retarded idea to mod a NASP scooby, its money that could be spent buying and running a tubby, but you did it anyway.
I couldn't agree more.

God almighty, why does every thread in here descend into people slagging off someone elses enjoyment? I wasn't a fan of the wheels Phil put on his last car but overall he seemed to do a good job and if he was enjoying it that's all the matters.

How much power does your Scooby have ? Have much power is lost by the transmission ?

How much power does the engine in the Astra have ? How much power is lost by the transmission compaired to that of an AWD ?

That Astra will not be a slow car :) Whenever it manages to get traction that is :D

I can see exactly why he may quite like "A Shed" (as some have put it) of an Astra with a brilliant highly tunable engine in it. An absolutely first class sleeper, and i think a fair few people would be suprised at just what it could frighten.

How quick is your Subaru, not very as I understand it? Presumably quite well beaten by the Astra :)

Not looking for a slanging match, but all these posts about a Vauxhall Vectra

I thought the "Well, its confirmed!" along with 76 replies and nearly 3000 views was going to be something special :D

Cheers :)

What about the Vectra?

Unless we are talking about the very very latest version its quite possibly the worst car i've ever had the displeasure of driving, the Corsa managed to get 'the worst' badge at the moment.
