All the comments I recieved on here about modifying the 1.4, saying how it was a waste of money have finally sank in.

Went to look at this when I got home from work today...

86,600 miles, FSH, recent cambelt and headgasket change... loads of work done over the past few years. Tax until April, MOT until November.

It's a nice example, body is in good condition apart from a little bit of rust on some of the arches. The front drivers wing has a hole in it  but the seller already has a wing to go on.

Should look pretty nice after a wash and polish :D

All for the pricely sum of £360.

looks good. they are pretty fast too arent they? thats a good price. dont know much about them, but its a goos step up from your 1.4.

Mike, got these 50mm springs and shocks here that I was going to fit to the 214. That should have it sitting nicely.

panthro, yep I think they're around 8 seconds to 60. Top speed somewhere in the region of 125-130. It'll be a huge step up from the 1.4. Putting it in 5th at 30 on an incline and putting your foot down... the car actually starts to speed up :D

I couldn't resist really. It's only £400 a year more to insure.

Already sorted Mike ;)

Picking the car up on the 11th, suspension is going on on the 12th. Just in time for the meet :p

Looking forward to screaming past El along the top road, waving to him as I sail by :D

Interior is similar to mine, only with folding front seats, 150 on the speedo (heh) and no rear doors. I actually prefer the inside of the 3 doors. Gives a more 'comfortable' feel I think.

The seats seem a little firmer too.

No engine shot pics yet. Those pics above were taken by the current owner. Don't worry, I'll get some ;)
