So sorry to hear it, my mother is the most important person in my whole life, I dont know what I would do if she passed away, it would be so hard for me to carry on.
There's little further to say, other than that hearing a story like this allows one to put all the insignificant niggles in his or her life into perspective. You feel guilty whinging about the media or bad drivers or tax rises when there are people out there who are suffering experiences such as this.

My mother had cancer when I was 14 but she pulled through. I tried to pretend it wasn't happening at the time, but I'm so, so, so glad I still have her. Cancer is an evil, terrible thing.
