Correct me here as I may be wrong, but I'm sure the FHD is NOT touchscreen whereas the QHD is. That is the other major difference apart from resolution. Otherwise if you're happy gaming at 1080p then stick to FHD and save money. Unless you are getting the core too and intend on putting a 1070 or 1080 in there, then you might want the QHD.

Remember though, using the laptop monitor to feed the GPU back to the laptop is going to give you a big performance hit due to TB3 bandwidth limitations, so you might be better off going FHD and getting a UHD external monitor and plug it directly to the core GPU.

If there were no negatives to the QHD display I wouldn't even be thinking about it, it's the scaling and glossy screen which worry me. I've heard that scaling games down to 1080p can cause issues.

Gaming is really secondary (even though I would be doing a fair bit of it). It's main uses are Pro Tools (DAW) and consumption.

Not sure how scaling down to 1080p would be an issue? My 4k TV scaled down to 1080p looks fantastic, but then it does upscale it which I guess is different to how the Razer monitor scales?

That doesn't matter. The resolution doesn't need to be exactly half for a monitor to scale. From what I can find this isn't an issue in the latest build of Windows 10 anyways...

For those that managed to get the Leviathan code to work can you tell me what you purchased? For example was it a Stealth with a core etc?

Yes that is what they are saying, but a few here have stated their order went through with the stealth and core, so I am trying to ascertain who managed to get the deal.

I believe that if you order the laptop on its own then you can't get the speaker.

I ordered the Blade and core combo deal and was told the leviathan wasn't added as it isn't able to be used with system purchases! Grr this is annoying.

It shows what I ordered. I couldn't add the Leviathan as it stated it was out of stock, which I thought was odd as they can just ship it when it comes back into stock. So I contacted Razer and they told me it was because Blade system purchases were exempt from the offer. Yet here we are with multiple people telling me they got a free Leviathan and spent less money than me... it's pretty ridiculous!

The Blade and Core combo yes, but Razer are telling me the Razer Stealth and Core combo are exempt as well, which obviously isn't the case!

No delivery date. Just a "submitted" order status. I heard that the US orders were backlogged a while.

It's becoming all too common that companies play these kinds of games unfortunately! They must have known more than a day in advance of original launch dates that the laptop would be delayed...

Whatever the issue they would have known at least a month ahead of launch that they would be delayed. Either that or their internal communication is severely lacking. However even if their internal communication was lacking they definitely would have known way before now...

And they only state the laptops ship FROM the 23rd, so its likely lot of us won't see our laptops maybe until New Years...

I cancelled my preorder guys. I was having an uneasy feeling with their rather pathetic customer support and attitude. Going to wait until they mature a bit as a company and actually figure out a device called a telephone as at the moment their customer support/email wait times is a joke.

Decided to buy my family a few days away over the new year instead. Hope the rest of you enjoy your laptops and I would love to hear some feedback!

The biggest joke is that they still haven't released the funds on my CC. I have funds stuck in the nether realm at the moment and have to wait two days for a reply as to why...

Yes same here. They are horrible for customer care. Would hate to know what will happen if you need to service/RMA the laptop!

I'm also still waiting for them to release the hold on my card!

Yup think we all dodged a bullet with this company... They can't pretend to be the PC version of Mac with out the great technical support and customer service.
