I'm after opinions.

What do you think of the Wetherspoons/Lloyds No.1 company as a whole?

What words/phrases spring to mind when you think of a Wetherspoons?

What do you think of their customer service? And how do you think it could be improved?

cheers :)

We have 2 in Wigan one is in the town centre its busy and dirty most of the time, plates and glasses left on tables for some time, very cheap and decent pints and bottle lagers, there other is 10x nicer but its 10 min walk from the town centre and its massive, I notice that it depends on the pub and its location, some can be good some can be crap.

perfect reply, thank you :)

I usually enjoy trips to weatherspoons, as it's nice to get a good selection of non-Strongbow/Magners cider from the bar, and also nice and reasonably quiet to just talk with friends. I don't really like the Lloyds chain though, or certainly the Lloyds on Broad Street in Birmingham, it's a little bit too picky with who it lets in and I've found a little too expensive also, though I hadly go there anyway.

That's why we usually start the Newcastle Meet in the Wetherspoons :)

To be fair the other "bargain pubs" Last Orders and a few others in town are a lot worse than the weatherspoons one, atleast the weatherspoons one does'nt bring in the thugs and people looking for a fight.

Been to the one in Preston and the price of drinks there was shocking, double if not treble the prices in Wigan, full of skirt though.

great, always server good points, but even better do lots of foreign/unusal bottles. If you go with good group of mates music isn't everything as your talking anyway. But definatley more of a starting bar.

Loyds food seems to be much nicer, I expect that's down to who works in *** kitchen though. Oh and loyds have music...

Cheap and ok for the start of the night. Food, which i assume is all microwaved is just enough to satisfy your hunger usually. Gets dirty/messy easily. Not bad, but not great either. I would give it a 5/10.
