My insurance is enought driving this with all the mods on it!

Not too bad though at £500 per year fully comp
is that with a specialist company?
try the usual suspects plus the owners club affiliates.

i think it's asking a bit much of a T9 to take 180bhp in the long term.
quaife used to do a very good replacement set of internals and they're tough as hell.

I've heard of some of the later type 9's taking over 200bhp for years problem free if they're properly maintained.

Something about better lubrication & layshaft bearings than the early ones had.

It isn't power that kills drivetrain components....rather torque.

...or more specifically, how the torque is delivered.

my dad's big pinto didn't bust a cog in years...and that was over 200lb/ft.

but while he isn't one for driving slowly, it was rarely abused.

a lad I worked with about six years ago thrashed the hell out of his mkII. it was only kicking out about 150lb/ft. hard launches and thrashing meant it lunched a box every eight months or so. atlas rear end made the T9 the weak point.

I like the T9's ratios. the MT75 while a nice box just isn't as 'sweet'.

WHEN I break it! :D I'll go straight cut mw-hahah :D

get yourself a zetec, slap a set of bike carbs on it and a decent fannymould...then an m45. ;)

that, a quaife straight-cut set and a linked lsd-shod axle would be so nice...

I'm going to enjoy it for the time being!!!

Then the plan is twin 48's, straight cut box, welded diff and 9" deep dish RS allys :D.

ahh soo much to buy, so little money!
