What 1200W power supply

Firstly I hope you are not going off the random comments of some random person instead of a tried and tested review site?

Nope! Just forgot to add link to jonnyGURU.com.

Random reviews or more acurately reviews from people who actually bought the product from OcUK can give a little insight to little problems or insights experienced by owners of the product.

Of course, a proper review will give a good account of the product specifications and on the jonnyGURU site a detailed breakdown on performance.

But like the OCZ SSD's, a little bit of shared ownership experience tells you that not all information is contained in just the reviews. Of course, that is a good reason to talk with people on the OcUK forums.

Im just saying you took the words of some random persons comments as there being a Bequiet UK support, when they dont.

Some of the user comments next to products are shoddy at best.

Id say the OCZ 1250, got one and the noise isn't that noticeable, nice bit of kit too.

Mine was awful, even web browsing it was noticable scrolling forum pages, and under full load mine used to sound like this video which was made by another member on this forum.
If u are looking at tri sli in the future then the cost of 3 580's aint cheap so don't cheap out on the psu and pay a bit more for a nice 1200w.

So whats the best 1200w psu

Anything with Seasonic or Delta as the OEM. That effectively means either Corsair (AX1200) or Antec (Antec High Current Pro 1200W).

The Antec then, got a refund on my ZX1250w and went with the more expensive Antec and it's silent.

And again if it's just 2x 580's and not 3x 580's then a 1000w like what stulid has linked to is plenty.
Edit: Look here, if u wanted to do some extreme overclocking then i would advise a 1000w for sli 580's, if it's just mild overclocking then any decent 850w is enough.

All of these excellent points easily put this unit a leg up on the competition we have reviewed to date in this output capacity range. On top of all of that, this unit is easily the best built unit we have seen from Enermax and one of the cleanest units we have seen from any manufacturer to date, which is definitely another area that Enermax has improved upon today. With all of that said, and as the market stands today, there are relatively few units in the 1300W and up market segment for sale, but among those units the Enermax MaxRevo 1350W certainly has to be considered one of the best.

Enermax's MaxRevo 1350W earns our Editor's Choice because of its huge power capacity along with great efficiency, impeccable build quality and support for up to a dozen PCIe connectors. If you want to buy a powerful, future proof, PSU that will handle all current and future monster graphics cards then the EMR1350EWT is for you. If for some strange reason 1350W are not enough then Enermax won't leave you out of choices since they also have the EMR1500EWT available.

While the MaxRevo 1350W isn't perfect, it does a lot of things well. Starting with Enermax's very innovative approach to laying out the PCB, virtually eliminating all wires and significantly improving air-flow. The unit is fully modular, has every connector you could possibly need, has good ripple suppression and great efficiency. If only the voltage regulation was better, this power supply would be on the top of my list of recommendations for people that are doing three way SLI or Crossfire and need this much power.

Enermax do make some nice psu's also yes.
Edit: forget the cpu overclock on sandy, the power usage is a lot lower than X58, most i have seen from the wall running my i7 950 @ 4.25GHz @ 1.38v and running 950 cores on my gpu's @ 1.15v is just under 900w, that is measured from the wall so take in consideration the psu was probably operating @ 90% effeciency at that load then it was pushing about 810w.

Well what your asking is impossible then.

Same price as that OCZ.
Better than that OCZ.
Gold rated.
1200W+
Not Corsair.
