What 125cc should I buy?

Budget like that get a CBF125 IMO. Alternatively a new Lexmoto is about £1500 with 2yrs warranty.

However - the Hondas, Yamahas etc ride much better. Get a well looked after one, the engines are bullet proof. I got myself a Lexmoto ZSB 125 as a cheap commuter. It seems ok but unsure how long it will last. I only need a motorway commuter to do 60mph. The CBF can do 78+. ;) Well, my girlfriends can. :D

Avoid all Lexmoto's - I bought a Lexmoto LXR 125 5 months and it's rusted, broke down on me 4 times - all electrics went, Ignition relay went and now the engine has gone. I have spent over £500 fixing it but problems still keep arriving. Personlly I would the Yamaha YZF or the Suzuki GSXR much more reliable as there Japanese. You buy cheap you buy twice. avoid all Lexmoto models

just traded in a suzuki gs125 5 days ago got 2k and bought a mt125 .. i only use for a bit of a run or commuting. it seems fine can't blast it for another 450miles ..lol .. it's the 2021 so bigger tank seat is very comfy only thing i'm doing next is changing exhaust ..the gs was fine this sounds like a wet fart ..lol

Haha mines currently at the garage for inspection so I can get refund under the consumer rights act, them lexmoto's are *****. What do you think of the aprillia RS4? Maybe looking at getting one of these or the GSXR

the suzuki are great ..only aprilla i had was the old rs125 but blew the engine at 110 that **** me up bouncing back wheel everything locked up ..lol the rs4 is getting long in the tooth 9 yrs old no refresh went for the mt cause theres is nearly 2 yrs and refresh ..

Yes I'm probably gonna get the suzuki. Hahaha yeah I was thinking that. Supposed to be a nightmare to get hold of parts on the aprillias as well someone was saying cos the Italians are lazy *******. How is the Mt? You can't really go wrong with yamahas

not redlined it yet .. needs at least 200miles under it .. but 68mph (and i'm 14st) and it was good .. and very comfy .. handle bars are a bit long compared to the suzuki but getting used to it ..

What do you about all the KTM RC?
you always you've made your choice but then something always pops up. probs looking at the YZF, KTM or GSXR, Looking for reliability and not something that breaks after 2k miles,

ktm hmm very hit and miss check out the reviews

KTM 125s seem a little fickle from all the stuff I've seen, they're not built in the same place or to the same standard as their bigger bikes and apparently it shows.

That answers my question then. something reliable is what I'm looking for, can't go through the stress again after haivng an LXR
stay away from honda then ..lol sent mine back after 6 months rust bucket ..had to go to court..but that was the cb125f made in India.. now i think they make them in Malaysia

That's literally the same problem I'm having its rusted to hell after 5 months even thought is been under a decent cover and only done 2k miles. The parts are sent over here and built in exeter I believe. looks like I'll be taking this dealership to court.

Unfortunately it's a common theme with the 125s they're made to a budget by pretty much all manufactures and it shows. Even an entry level "big" bike like the SV650 is leaps and bounds ahead fit and finish wise.

I have been in touch already, seems like this pretty similar to yours. they have said under the consumer act 2015 you have the right to a refund, rap air or a renew if you're not happy with the product, The problem is the Dealership is terrible, I missed a service because of COVID so they're saying my warranty is void. Whatever Wheels in Blackburn avoid these.

take them to court ..it's funny on the service you were following the uk gov advice.. and rust is nothing to do with a service ..

I know mate, it's madness. everything has broke with it, electrics, front brakes, Ignition relay - its at a garage getting assessed for not fit for purpose. how long did the court process take with you?

The old CBF 125 is the last proper Japanese made Honda. The CB125F is made in India and the latest one somewhere else iirc.

Personally I'd buy a CBF 125 in as good nick as I can find and then look after it properly.

There's a reason half of London's bike couriers still ride them, they're built like tanks.
