What a **** !!!!

Seems to be a growing trend from watching My Supersweet Sixteen. Makes you sick. But hey, it's the families money, I would do the same for my children if I was in that position.

Sometimes I wish I was an American kid born into a wealthy family.

I was watching some of that "Super Sweet 16" on MTV the other day.

Some 16 year old girl got a brand new car for her birthday (not sure what make, but it was brand new... it's a bloody good present no matter what it was) - some $60k car with all the extras etc.

She started crying because it was the wrong colour.

How chuffed would you be :D

Not in this country, imagine having to pay the insurance & petrol at 16. Although the boys parents obviously paid for all that in the OP

The car was used with 6000 miles on it..
Haha, it's used. Gutted :p

Goes to show how money and intelligence are not correlated - very irresponsible of his parents buying him a car like that at 15.

I mean I day dream about driving a supercar to Uni, it would never happen even if I had the money - so many problems it would cause!!!

Did anyone else read the rest of the thread? Half of them seem to have ridiculously powerful cars at 16->18

Should have got him a 3 series for a couple of years, then an M3 would have seemed even better ;)

Heh, he doesn't even have a full licence yet.

i cant drive it to school yet.. im only a sophmore. In my school you cant get a parking spot till your at least a junior..... but i dont have my license yet... i have to drive with my parents.. not that i mind haha

If I was absolutely confident my 16 year old hypothetical son was not going to be a nob with it, and I had money coming out of my ears, I'd probably buy him one too (if he wanted it) tbh. I am sat here thinking I'd want him to work for it blah blah but tbh.. it'd fill me with pride to see my son as happy as he looks in that photo.

What a spoilt kid. You can't just give someone that age whatever they "want."

I'm not even sure it should be legal for someone under the age of 21 to drive something like that. It's not so much a car more of a lethal weapon.

If I ever end up rich enough to give my 16 year old son something like that I probably wouldn't based a) on principle and b) people would think he's a ****.
