Well, the main differences are:

1. Support for Ryzen 2000 series from the first BIOS version;
2. Reworked VRM section;
3. StoreMI.

ax370 gaming 5 was a nightmare for me,
From power loss from SATA ports to Bios Corruption & Sound hardware defect
to plugging in a LED Strip & switching in software would make a horrid freeze & buzz from speakers

Purchased the ASUS X470 PRO ,Solid never had one problem
Great VRMs
M.2 x2 Main with a great heat spreader for main M.2
Reworked Bios
RGB Headers

i need new motherboard and was wondering if the Asrcok X470 Taichi is good motherboard?

trying to decide between the Asrcok X470 Taichi or the ASUS Crosshair VII HERO.

i need one that runs at full M.2 speeds on both slots, i know the asus does but dont know about the Arock board.

And none of them is perfect :(
The manufacturers are cheapening out again on the B450s

But that applies to some X470s also

The MSI and Gigabyte look pretty solid. I see that Asus also receive quite a lot support as customers' choice for B450.
Well the phrases he uses are; "very concerning", "awful", "worst VRM". The boards are probably fine for the lower end CPUs but just don't cut it for the 8-cores.

That is obviously not objective because there are 65W 8-core Ryzens.
I had used an overclocked 95W processor on a motherboard for 40 euros which had its few horrible phases exposed. And guess what - the over clock was limited in BIOS but otherwise everything was fine.

Well I would be looking at a 2700X and I just don’t trust these B450s. Would love to see a good quality mATX X470 board. Otherwise I have to pay Intel for the latest rebrand of their Z170.

2700X needs one of the full ATX top end boards if you want to squeeze as much performance out of it as possible with the PBO settings, seems to go well over 105W TDP.
