What are some must have N64 games?

oot aged well because of the graphics by definition never had to be all that great, same with other rpgs...FF7 for example. first person shooters always seem to age pretty badly i think.

I didn't think PD was ever that amazing, especially graphically. It tried too much, and as a result the game looked particularly blurry and slow. I remember even at the time having difficulty picking out details and the like with it. Goldeneye kept things simple, and it was all the better for it.

Ah the N64 had some right classics on it some of my favorites

Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Beetle Adventure Racing (anyone else play this little gem?)
WCW/NWO vs The World
Jet Force Gemini
F Zero X

Not to mention the many hours of multi player fun i had on the ports of Duke Nukem, Quake 2 and Doom 64

Wish i still had mine, only the PS2 rivals the time i spent playing on this console :(

Oh yes, my missus couldn't get enough of this game.... (she hates games btw)

I must pick it up again, as I sold it with my original N64 :(

Great game

All the games listed above
WWF No Mercy
Donkey Kong 64

And I disagree with the last couple of posters about PD. It was and still is one of the consoles best games imo, I preferred it to Goldenye simply because it felt like there was more to do in single player. And there was no way I would call Mario 64 is poor compared to Banjo Kazooie imo but BJ is certainly the far superior game graphically. I just find Mario 64 to be more fun. Boh are certainly worth playing though.

As for, the guy that has never played OoT...

PD was a fantastic game and i agree with your reasons, escape sanity. it had more of everythign and definately more variety. The multiplayer was much better also. I love goldeneye, but they just did it all better with PD.

goldeneye was just as bad and worse at times. i think our memories of these old games are somewhat distorted lol. neither of them were particularly amazing in the graphics department - it was an n64 afterall lol.

Nah graphics are fine, it's the poor controls that really hit it.

Beetle Adventure Racing was awesome! and I strangely enjoyed south park rally :)
