What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Control, very fun.

Mission progression seems disjointed though, you get side missions thrown at you and it isn't obvious whether completing the main mission will stop you from doing the other stuff. Navigation can also be a bit confusing along with mission descriptions etc.
Loved the story line, very interesting. Blends a few concepts I've heard before, I like how it links to another game franchise too, though I haven't played that yet.
I think ability progression is a bit flawed, they don't seem balanced. I ended up fully using launch and killing the majority of enemies with that. I used gunplay more early game. Weapon mods seemed all over the place.
I didn't like running back and forth over areas I had previously explored, it's okay a couple of times but having to do it so often become a bit boring.

The game has quite a few flaws but is well worth playing.

Did you play Prey, same team I believe and slightly edges it over Control.

Yep I really enjoyed it :) I want to play the deadspace remake too but the price is putting me off at the moment. Also eyeing up callisto protocol and pining for vampire bloodlines 2 and starfield.

With you on Bloodlines 2 but feels like we're never going to get it.

I did a £12 month EA play pass for Dead Space, worth looking into - no way I was biting at full price for a remake.

Thanks, I'll check it out! Though, I've been modding GTA V and I have to say it looks glorious, really tempted to give it a proper play through again.

At the moment trying to complete Hogwarts legacy but making slow progress as I keep falling back to playing Fallout 76, I know it got a lot of bad press on release, but I am really enjoying it and has become a bit of a comfort game for me.

Playing Wildlands coop, and for times I'm on my own I'm working slowly through Plauge Tale: Requiem. It looks amazing, and the VA is great, but I'm finding the gameplay a bit plodding. If I had something more compelling waiting in the wings for SP play I'm not sure I'd finish it, tbh.

as this closes in on 10 years old do we need to rename it 40 year old gamers?
Heh! Add another 10 years to that ;)

Currently playing Resi 4 Remake and I have to say I'm not enjoying it as much as I enjoy the original - joypad controls are just plain *bad* (hopefully they get patched) but those aside, the new arenas and boss encounters just feel less polished than the original - the original game felt like it was play-tested to death to polish off all the rough edges - the Remake looks stunning but there's a lot of bizarre changes that make the game feel much more of a chore to play. I'll see it through to the end but I'm not having much fun with it - Resi 4 Wii Edition is the GOAT in my opinion.

Don't judge, 48 and last few nights Fortnite (zero build, hate building in fps's) .... disclaimer, spent a bit of time playing Fortnite with the kids over the last few months but I get frustrated I'm not as good as I could be, so recently decided I'd have a go on my own, up my game a bit, won a good few matches now, won't be letting the team down in future.

Currently in limbo after playing the D4 beta ; going to jump onto Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure later on today, though. D4 has me playing some D2R again ....

Not long ago started FarCry New Dawn. Pretty similar to the pre apocalypse version which I loved.
The long term game I've been playing online is Forge Of Empires..
