What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Currently taking a break from Baldur's Gate 3 with a bit of Counterstrike 2. I've long ago given up trying to be competitive and just do some deathmatch / casual, almost entirely on Dust2 for the mid-thirties nostalgia / familiarity from the original!

Just recently been getting into Lego Fortnite with my sons. Addictive game, but LOADS of grinding for fairly small upgrades. It's keeping my attention though, so it's doing something right.

Baldurs gate 3 has left me wanting more turn-based action so I've finally got around to getting wasteland 3. It's good but I'm already missing the complexity of BG3.

I made the fatal mistake of not playing BG3 for a couple of weeks...which then become daunting because I couldn't remember where I was in the story and now my 'break' is a couple months in!

After a few months off, I've just started a new Starfield run, after my 190h save borked :(

Trying Remnant 2 with mates but it's so stingy on the ammo, I'm not enjoying it.

And there's always Diablo4 and a bit of WoW.

Foxhole main game, than World of Warships. Started to play Back 4 Blood and Darktide not as fun with randoms, but what can you do, it's fun for a game or two. Starship Troopers Extermination is good too for a hour.

For the big games, switching between Baldurs gate 3 and Hogwarts.

Loving jedi survivor! I hated it upon release because of all the issues, but it's running better now and honestly, it's an improvement over the first in almost every way. Which I loved!

Other than that, I just cleared out a tb of games from my drives. I'm really struggling to find a decent fps game that isn't swarmed with cheaters or full of different meta stats that just ruin the fun. I've played every fps game there is at this point, so any advice on the game that sucks the least would be good.

Also been playing dirt rally 2 again, since the new rally game was a total disaster and I'm not buying it.

Still enjoying Starfield when I get a chance to play. I've downloaded CP2077 and feel I'm ready to give it a third attempt.

I'm really craving a good solid arena shooter and am currently annoyed at how successful Fortnite has been because it means the chance of a new UT is slim to none and I don't care about BR games so I feel classic arena shooter fans are being left behind cause BR's print money.

I'd say the chances of a new UT game are slim to none, especially since Epic delisted all Unreal games  The new UT game they were making a few years ago was really good before they abandoned it. UT3 is supposedly coming back with some kinda of free to play scheme but thats the UT game we don't really want and Epic had said anything about it in over a year so probably abandoned also.

Thought I'd try Fort Solis for £15 on Steam as it's on offer, I like the genre so why not.

Load up game, see ultrawide res in settings, think "awesome"

Start game....... it's in 16:9

The hilarious part is that the loading activity indicator is on the lower right of the screen, so the game's aware of ultrawide and makes use of it.... when loading the game save only

Refunded!

16:9 is life! :p:cry:;)

Mostly raging about how rubbish MW3 is and how many of the maps have been taken from previous games I've already played. ffs.

Also Diablo IV.
