What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

42.

Fallen Order and Forza 4 at the moment. Planning to get stuck into AC Valhalla when I'm done with Fallen Order.

Got a mountain of titles for the coming year but starting with:

Ratchet and Clank remake on PS4
Cyberpunk on PC
NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered on PC
Fallen Order on Xbox One X
Luigi's Mansion 3 on Switch

46,

Titanfall 2= I come top in multi-player or top 3 on a regular basis online.
Battlefield One, Battlefield V seemed to suck.
GTA V
Rome: Total War 2
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
Oh and as it is on my Xbox Series X Tetris Effect was very, very addictive.

46, though being honest Star Wars Squadrons has taken me back to a mental age of the 8 year old that first played the Atari arcade. The game in VR gives off the same feelings just like it did in back in 83. All the voices, i have you now! the force is strong in this one! R2 try and increase the shields:D

I never thought id have that competitive streak in me again but that game online has clawed it back, it's amazing.

Starbound
RimWorld
Dead Cells
Wolfenstein : The New Colossus

I find a lot of modern triple AAA titles either lack story or polish, and the mechanics aren't in depth enough to hold my interest . I've found so many indie titles that are just more interesting.

Keep trying big open world games, but they just lack a main campaign that keeps me invested. Last one I really enjoyed was GTA5.

Going to try Kingdom Come deliverance next. But really I most enjoy first person shooters with a proper story. That's why I've loved every one of the new Wolfensteins.

And I tend to stick to big titles of yesteryear as my hardware is getting a bit old on the tooth for 3440x1440 on the latest releases.

just finished fallen Order (cracking game)
Just started Red Dead Redemption 2
Started playing Warzone after replaying all the COD MW games. (online multiplayer is a lot harder than I remember)
C&C remastered
Frostpunk (just got the season pass on sale)

want to get cyberpunk but have Witcher 3 and fallout to finish first.

Im 52 and I'm playing mostly doom eternal pc, Forza horizon 4 pc, Star fallen order pc, witcher 3 pc. Ori will of wisps Xbox series X, control series X, no man's sky series X. Tons more though thanks too game pass ultimate and epic and such. I'll game until I can't anymore and have done since spectrum and Amiga.

Mid 40's and, other than Cyberpunk 2077, the newest games I'm playing are at least 5 years old but most are even older with some that are 23 years old Like DID's Total Air War (1998) or Janes 688I (1997) Sub game. The silliest thing is that I've bought dozens of "new" games on Steam during sales but just never get around to playing them, so things like Doom Eternal, Far Cry 5, Squad etc where as a I've got 200hrs in a turn-based WW2 game from 2011 and easily 1000+hrs in the earlier mentioned Total Air War.

I guess for me having the latest shiny graphics just isn't as important as having great gameplay first and foremost, and I find far too many modern games have ditched having a strong gameplay for shiny graphics, which ultimately gives these games no real staying power. I mean will I be playing Cyberpunk 2077 in 23 years time like I am Total Air War, I doubt it TBH!

31 here.

Overwatch and Deep Rock Galactic have been kind of staples for me at the moment. I just got a decent gaming rig right before the initial lockdown in March, so throughout the year I've been catching up with Doom 2016, Titanfall 2, Fallout 4 and I literally (just today) completed Cyberpunk 2077. I also got halfway through Doom Eternal before the whole anticheat patch controversy and stopped playing, but I've not bothered to get back into it.

At 36, I’ve hit a nostalgic patch, so taken a few hours to mod up Knights of the Old Republic and going to give that a go again having finished System Shock 2 and Prey recently.
Also dipping in and out of Anno 1800 (now I understand what the hell is going on, no decent tutorial left me frustrated as a newcomer to Anno) Hades and Dishonored 1.

I Just been playing Call of Duty that was released back in 2003 :p
  • Processor: Pentium III 600 MHz or Athlon 600 MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 98/ME, Pentium III 700 MHz or Athlon 700 MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 2000 / XP
  • Memory: 128 MB
  • Graphics: 3D hardware accelerator card required - 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible 32 MB hardware T&L-capable video card and latest drivers*
Needs 128mb of system memory and a GPU with 32mb :D
