My Christmas Eve for the past few years have been. Family round for Chinese, exchange presents. When they all leave I watch Christmas Vacation with the other half and my girls followed by Die hard!!!!.

I rotate Diehard 1&2 each Christmas.

Can't bloody wait
 
No love for Raiders of the Lost Ark??

That's a Christmas movie in our house. I don't think any of us would feel like it was proper Christmas if we didn't watch it.

Die Hard is our other must watch Christmas movie.

haha, In our house Dr Jones is on during Xmas day and then we watch Die hard later on.

Boxing day, lol, usually we spend ages trying to pick a movie from Netflix/Amazon/Xbox store, before eventually just watching the last hour of whatever movie happens to be on the TV :p:D
 
I feel like Die Hard wins it for me ... because while stuff like Gremlins was really cool, I'd not want to watch it again now, but Die Hard I feel like I could happily have a 10th (or whatever it is) viewing, especially i it was on in the background while doing stuff.
 
Yet to actually watch Elf, 34th Street or Wonderful Life so these are on the list.

Humbug mode - I have never liked Home Alone, I just saw it as a precocious kid. :o

Looks like Batman Returns might have to be added as a Christmas movie. Vid covers a lot of the Die Hard as a Christmas movie theory as well.
 
i don't think it's been mentioned yet, but there is an absolutely hilarious Xmas movie originally called 'Hostile hostages', but when i bought a copy online i found it had been renamed 'The ref'.

it's a Denis Leary film so bad language is used constantly.

Kevin Spacey is also in it. it from 1992 or '93. and it is the one film i'm guaranteed to watch quite frequently in the run-up to Xmas.
