We watched Die Hard on Christmas Eve.

The past few years we’ve spent the evening wrapping presents or generally out and about so this year was the first in a while that we had time to sit down. I’d also made a curry and we got some drinks going so it all fell in to place, so to speak.

Biggest shock for me was that the wife had never seen it. She’s one of those funny ones that’s never watched Star Wars or other popular films that 99% of the general public have seen 10 million times tho. But Die Hard? :eek:

We did get a bit drunk and so when I ended up shouting at her in a pseudo German accent “where are my detonators?” we both found it unexpectedly hilarious.

Re: The Yippee Ki Yay jpeg above.... Good that the kid knows a new word for his cowboy game. Not a lot of young kids these days will have come across the word "Kemo Sabe", perfect for cowboys and indians really, not sure what his missus is so bothered about.

Also, in the TV edit of Die Hard 2, as John throws the lighter at the trail of jet fuel the iconic line is replaced with;

“Yippie Ki yay, Mr Falcon”

:D

My absolute favourite Christmas film Trading Places, which is STILL not on the list by the way, also has the classic ITV edit "Get <paaaaaause> out!"
