They were most likely checking things out, as you most likely would if someone was flying over your territory.

The US will only have sent out the jets out as a precaution.
 
well at the moment the russian military and weaponry are much more superior of any other countrys i would say. the thing is usa does anything they want in the normal limits russians dont interact and vises versa.

well considering bombing there two towers and going in war for oil does not looks so normal but they probably have there own agreements :)

That's actually a IL-76 Candid transporter (roughly equivalent to the C-141 Starlifter). There is a AWACS variant based on the IL-76 airframe, but that is designated the A-50 Mainstay.

Superior? Is that a joke? They still hand out guns from the late 50's. They might have a lot of men but that really doesnt mean much in this day and age. After the fall of communism their military was drained of all financial support.

Even now, the UK is spending TWICE the amount on defence in comparison to Russia, and our army is roughly a tenth of the size.

The reason we pay so much for our stuff is the billions to the US for trident.

oh you just blinded do you think they will tell how much they spend and etc...on weapons research nobody cares about army these days it all about weapons.

no point explaining to a guy who does not know shizle... do you wach ru tv ? were u in russia ? or u just listen what uk politics/tv/ and usa/uk sources and etc tell you. i will just not start to go in to this stuff to much flaming and false information that people believe in.
 
LOL false stuff from the US/UK is one thing but the amount of **** the Soviets used to feed their people is astonishing. They didn't announce a whole football team had died and didn't even tell their families ffs. Considering Putin is ex-KGB I bet lots of things are still covered up to a greater degree than over here.
 
oh ye still loads of covers ups and stuff. im kind a not in that stuff as i was in ireland from like 6 years old and im 22 now so i dont know much myself...

i hated most when putin did not allow to save people from kursk(submarine) because of some new torpedoes things :(
