What are your top 3 Sci-Fi series?

Buck Rogers

Nope, this one has to burn forever in some hot, burny place.

Sci-Fi does not require:
A. a cute robot
B. a cute kid
C. a cute frigging anything

lycra babes was a plus, but the annoying robot/kid made it unwatchable :(

What?! You can't deny Twiki! Does that mean Battlestar Galactica is out too? :D
I do know where you're coming from, but I loved Buck Rogers because it was just so brilliantly bad.

cheesy is OK, the later bits of Blakes 7 and Dr Who were distinctly cheddar-like;

If the film makers thought they could spend any less on sci-fi then they would.
They are happy to chuck fortunes at yet more luvvies poncing about in frilly period ballgown dramas, but then lay out £2.00 and a roll of tin foil to make priceless art like Blakes 7.

anything whose sole contribution to the plot is to say "bidi, bidi, bidi" has crossed the line, and that has to mean death by big stabby things.

To be fair to Twikki he often used the phrase 'Sure thing, Buck' as well. ;)

I've just realised by top three is Wrong with an intentional capital W.

Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy trumps all and is the undisputed Sci Fi number one.

Yep, wasnt too bad. The plots and effects got a bit pedestrian though :(

Was quite enjoyable for the time though :)
I thought it was cracking. If I saw it now I probably wouldn't like it as much now I've grown up.

ITV? So it was... ;)
still, t'was not bad for £4M
and you wouldn't even get 10 seconds of
deth-ray-super-blaster-laser-warp-pfft CGI animation for that much.

It looked cheap though and the B5 pilot was made on amigas (the rest wasn't though) so decent stuff doesn't have to cost that much. I found bits of it quite funny as I knew the locations well and the deserted village bit was filmed near my mates house in Wardle.

1. Babylon5
2. BSG
3. Firefly/Sg1/Ds9

i'm bit of a trek guy really but you have to know when its beat.Enterprise had great moments and maybe if it didnt get cut...Scott Bakula was just so wrong. Jolene Blalock? you so would

but in the end Trek just doesnt come close to B5 :)

I liked Enterprise too as it wasn't that Trek like. Characters were afected by things that had happened in previous eps which wasn't something that had happened in others apart from DS9.

U.F.O Nothing comes even close to how good this was and still is

The Invaders.. all the others are just copies and outright steals of this original

Sapphire and Steel...
