in about 2004,2005. i used to post on a house music board and whenever a question about computing came up, be it parts or systems, one poster would always link to overclockers with his answers and recommendations.

i'm not into PC's in a massive way, certainly couldn't build one and don't really play games but then i imagine that is the same for a lot of the forum users.

i stopped using the house music board in 2006 when it had a re-vamp and just wasn't the same. in 2009, i thought i'd treat myself to a new PC to go with my first house and i remembered the overclockers name and came here. i then noticed the 250 posts for free delivery offer if i joined the forum and that's it. i never did get a PC though, i bought white goods instead :(

Looked at my left over student loan, and thought, I want a desktop.

A friends dad had bought from here not long before, so I came on to check it out. It was the best laid out shop site I used, so used it a lot for looking at different part combinations in the basket. Clicked on the forum one day and never really left.

A magazine article, think it was an interview with gibbo about overclocking. I had never heard about overclocking components before so came here and pretty much purchased parts here ever since.

A nerd I knew pointed me towards a thread on here when I was having PC problems, I saw the sports arena, joined up and got banned by Gilly within a week I think it was.

Nothing much has changed since tbh.

What house music site was it because myself and a few others are from a certain house, well, trance music site - (mpfs)

I don't know how i ended up here tbh, but i know i was planning on building a pc at the time, i probably found the site through google.

My brother used to buy all his parts from ocuk. Based on the reccomendation of a guy he worked with. When it came to building my first pc i simply followed suit. I shudder to think about the amount ive spent over the years though.

I found the forums when I was looking to find some advice on my first computer build, and it was these forums that lead me to the store. I don't think I would have ended up shopping at OcUK if it wasn't for the great advice and support here. This forum account is newer than when I originally came here, as I was a forum lurker for a year or two before I actually made an account and started posting.

Parts for a computer build at the beginning of the century. Can't remember who told me about the place.

Google...when I was building my first PC searching for parts.
Forums also came up from time to time when doing technical searches...

Babes and babes and babes and babes and babes / And remembering nothing boy / You like my tin ... Shouting lager lager lager lager / Mega mega white thing ...

Dad has bought PC parts from here since the early 2000's, saved up my paper round money and wanted a new build so signed up to the forums for advice.

Then broke my arm when I was 15 and started posting in PC Games and GD, never left since.

Wow, 5 years ago, time has flown by :(

AMD Barton 2500 and hugely expensive BH5 RAM.
I also found some people as mental as I was, willing to try passively cooling an entire system using a Ford Sierra radiator bolted to my desk. Buggered if I can remember who it was though!
