What car?? Bored of Type R

Again, if you have nothing better to say, go away.

Will you stop telling me to go away until such time as you become a moderator? Ta.

It's valid advice. If you manage to blow up a VTEC an RX7 is an absolute no no becuase they are horrifically unreliable.

You cant even manage to buy the most reliable performance car ever made without ignoring blatant warning lights on the dashboard and then subsequently blowing it up.

Do you honestly think an RX7 is the right car for you?

Oh dear :D:eek:

Out of all the cheap japanese turbo nutter cars its my opinion that the GTO Twin Turbo is the best, i certainly liked it the best and ive driven them all fairly extensively.

Take one out and see what you think.

Another complete wildcard which appears to make no sense but is actually a very capable and fast car, is a BMW 540i. I know it sounds random but give one a chance.

I rarely do it, but i agree with Fox.

If you manage to break a car such as an ATR, what chance do you have with a higher maintenance jap mobile?

If you can afford to fix it properly then go for it, don't go and buy a supra tt, blow it up and then fit an NA lump ;)

For the grin factor, I think a Mk2 rev3 MR2 is on the cards..

£5k will get you an absolute mint car and if the engines healthy it should be producing ~ 240bhp as standard.

If you then get bored with it, a few £100s later and a boost controller / Upgraded IC and a FC-Defender should easily see a reliable 260+ bhp.

DO IT :D

It's far from it.

My pug 205 1.4 GT was more raw and that was the most fun car i've owned!

I suggest you learn to drive it properly then! The 200SX, GT4, Supra, Impreza will all feel relatively "not raw" when compared to the Type-R so I don't think you will enjoy them if it's rawness you are after.

You blew up the most reliable engine of its type/output. You will not like the RX-7 engine characteristics, or it's sensitivity to abuse - it is another high-revving motor but this time it has the added demand of needing more careful maintenance.

Did I miss something good, how did you kill the ATR engine? They are virtually bomb proof!
If you want Raw, strip out the ATR, you sound like you want lazy instead :P GT4 would be a good contender, gallant VR4 would be another. Both 4WD turbo nutter cars that aren't scoobs or evos. Short of that the 200SX is a good choice if you can get over how ugly it is (which I think you can't).
Whatever you end up with, be prepared for the moment when you realise you could corner harder in the accord :P For about a grand you could just turbo the prelude engine you have in there, they take turboing much better than the ATRs engine.

Rev3's dont need fuel cut defenders. :p

Did I read on here a while ago that you put an old Prelude engine in to replace your ATR's broken "proper" engine? o_0
