No they aint, thats the R580+ thats in production now (x1950's), R580 (x1900's) were stopped when the x1950's were released months back, as said above all x1900's that are out there now are just the last stocks. :)

r580 is exactly the same core as r580+

one uses gddr4 over gddr3

ECS enhanced chipset
AGA advaned graphics archiceture
Voodoo Rush
Voodoo 1 4mb with socket7 heatsink/fan glued to GPU (probably the first GPU to have a heatsink lol)
Voodoo 2 12mb magic3D (quake2 rocked)
Intel I740 (the search for an opengl wrapper was a pain: Quake2= 27fps)
G200 8mb (HL1 ran like a dog with dodgy textures)
TNT 1 (now we're getting somewhere though not as quick as a Voodoo 2 in Quake2)
Geforce1 (AA -what a joke though Porsche Challange rocked)
Radeon 8500 (promised as lot but return to proxicon at 2fps -come on)
Geforce 5900 (with water cooling it still couldn't play Farcry at 1024)
Radeon 9800pro VIVO (with water cooling it it could play Farcry at 1024)
x800pro VIVO (unlocked pipes/pencilled over resistors/added water cooling & racked it up to 587c 1174mem. A lot faster than prev gen cards)
2x 7800gtx (the frackin things wont even clock over stock 450core -POS, keep your feet warm by the tower & laugh at games going slower in SLI, ps3/HDR is well cool & I'm playing Farcry all over again)
err saving for a Geforce 8800gtx & am working on a 2nd mortgage right now

12mb Creative Voodoo 2, I loved this card, it was properly awesome!
Geforce 2 GTS, meh...
Geforce MX440, *shudders*
Geforce 256mb 5700le, this card was a comedy clocker, still pants though...
Geforce 256mb 5950 Ultra, I loved this card, the day it broke was a sad sad day! :(
ATI X800SE, first PCI-e venture, it never worked though, ugh!
Geforce 6800GS PCI-e, awesome card that loved high clocks, really good card this!
AGP Geforce 6600le, pipes unlocked, it was a laugh...
AGP Geforce 6800GT, ran at Ultra speeds and didn't do much other than sit on desktop, waste!!

Laptop;
ATI RS200m, ugh, Guild Wars cried for mercy!

- 1mb S3 Trio (I abused the hell outta this, got me all the way thru HL:1, but at low res of course.) Absolute trooper of a card.

- 64mb MX200 (Sucked badly, took it back and survived with the S3 for another year)

- 64mb Onboard (Was better than the above :D)

- 128mb 9600 (Couldnt even play the games it came bundled with, sent back!)

- 128mb(?) 9600XT (Gave me the upgrade bug)

- 128mb 6800NU (First attempt at overclocking and pipe unlocking, didnt end well.)

- 256mb 7800GTX (Still going strong)

Havnt had many,

16mb Rage or TNT??- Dont really remember got the below computer a week later

32mb Geforce 2-Was in a stock dell with a p4 1.7ghz, played me all the way from Splinter cell, ran very good aswell!

64mb Geforce 4 mx440- Upgraded to this, was good for a week then despised it, no specular and hated it!

128mb Geforce 4 mx440- Was in a computer that was given to me, used for about a week then i got;

128mb Radeon 9600se- First ATI card and havnt gone back since, loved this card to bits, £40 and was ace! Overclocked extremely well! Only had this card up until last year!

256mb X800XT PE- Very good card compared to the 9600se obviously, introduced me to the world of AA and AF.

512mb X1900XTX- Just a sped up version of the X800, havnt had slow down on it yet, touch wood. Havnt played on it in about 2 months unfortunately.

Josh

EDIT- Xbox360 cheaper and better graphics has turned me away from any more upgrades.

GF4 MX440 - first rig, didn't need any better, it was alright.

FX5200 - still a complete n00b, it was alright for the time, but looking back now *shudders*

X700 AGP - was a decent card, first time i started getting into OCing, replaced its stock cooler with the VF-7 fatality, halved the temps, got some very nice OCs out of it, and best of all, I didn't pay for it.

X1800XT 256 - my first "real" card, lovely. Its sitting in my cupboard with a VF-900 on it at the moment.

X1900XT 256 - first one died on me, RMAed it, fitted the new one today, its going alright, should be WCing it in the next week, will be very interesting to see what it can do.

The X700 left me with very good memories, but the X1800XT is currently my fave card.

Not including pre 3D cards...

+ATI Rage II+ 3D - D3D only, 2megs of memory, no open gl - it limped through jedi knight

+ATI Rage Pro - Can't remeber exact details of this card - but it was horrid - had to swap between 3 different drivers depending on what game I wanted to play

+Voodoo 1 (Obsidian - was a developer or engineering release board - have no idea how it ended up on sale in retail) got this as I got so fed up of the rage pro, very nice card at the time - gave me 40fps average in quake 2 and 100 average in jedi knight: mots

+TNT2 ultra grabbed this one for quake 3 - nothing special but it did the job

+Voodoo 3 2000 PCI - so I could do multi-monitor with the TNT2

+Geforce 2 MX (Elsa Gladiac) - not one of those crappy MX200/400 this was as fast as the average full blown Geforce 2 with tons of overclocking potential.

+Geforce 3Ti200 (Creative Blaster) - creative knew how to make cards at this point - the memory could overclock as much as you could cool it - easily did +40% - core would only take an extra 50MHz but that wasn't too bad. This was the first GPU I owned that felt "solid".

+Geforce 5950ultra (Gainward Golden Sample) - had it running +50% core and memory clocks with extreme cooling but it still limped on DX8/9 games, but gave very nice performance in DX7 games.

+Geforce 5200 - crappiest card on the planet but was the cheapest card I could find that would do the job for my media PC.

+Gainward BLISS 6800 Golden Sample w/ 512Mb DDR3 - very very nice card - plays everything in high quality today with playable framerates - I haven't even bothered overclocking it - another "solid" card.

+Gainward BLISS 7590GX2 - my current card - very happy with this - will take everything you can throw at it and still give better than playable fps, also another good clocker with the core easily doing +25% out the box on stock cooling.

* Matrox G400 Dual Head (not too shabby)

* Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti500 (a nice step up)

* ATI Radeon 9000pro (indifferent)

* ATI Radeon 9800pro (cost me £100 spanking new due to staff discount at it's peak)

*ATI Radeon X800GTO (not bad, heatpipes made it a silent card though)

* ATI Radeon X1950XT (doing well at present, but could do with a driver overhaul)

fish dude, i think i asked you this before but i cant really remember what you said, but my new system may be similar to yours (except a slightly lower GHZ conroe) and just want to know how well you run your games with it, maybe could you give me a list of the games you play and the settings/fps you get?

thanks

no prob m8 dont play that many but

Day of defeat source 6xAF 16xAA HDR=off Vsync=off all rest on maximum and lowest is 100fps on the map wth the beach on 20-24man servers normally its about 125fps+ though.

Counter strike source 6xAA 16XAF HDR=off Vsync=off all rest on maximum andi get around 140fps+ on 20 man servers

Company of heroes. everything maxed out except there are 2 options with an ultimate setting and i use the one below that as a warning came up when i selected them lol and also player detail has baout 8 levels mines on 7. just run the in game performance test and it said GREAT averge 49fps,, game runs nice and smooth

these games all played 1280x1024

Ooh, KyroII. I had one of these. It's was truly awesome in CS but stank in almost everything else. Turned up with a faulty fan so I returned it for the GF3 after a bit of passive testing :D

1 Mb on-board :D
Hercules DDR
Gainward GF4 Ti4200 64mb
ATI 9800 Pro
ATI x800XL
Gainward Bliss 7800GS 512mb

My Hercules DDR card is still working in a mates old PC (I think it's just a file server now though) and enjoying my 7800gs. Plenty of "oomf" for a while until I decide to go onto Vista. :)
