What classic games would you like to see remastered?

Oddly, two biker games from my childhood; Road Rash and Full Throttle.

Road Redemption exists, and they re-released Full Throttle with a graphics update a few years ago but I'm looking more at the character of the games being translated into modern tech. Games have become a bit too serious or childish, I miss moments like chossing an action in Full Throttle and he's like "I'm not putting my lips on that". I'm not sure the character and charm could be brought up with the technology mind you, I suspect like most it's just a nostalgic feeling only the original can give.

I think a remaster would be most beneficial when we're talking about a game that was great - but where things like the control mechanism just wouldn't cut it today. That's got to be more important than just a graphics facelift, right?

So Ultima Underworld 2 would be prime. I've been playing that a bit recently, and the controls are just so clunky - telling that the game is still enjoyable despite this.

A few people have mentioned System Shock, and I'm sure the same would be true there.

Most of my wishes have already been fulfilled.

Final Fantasy VII and VIII got given the remastered treatment. PC gamers were locked out of FFIX and FFX as they were Playstation-only. They, too, got made available on Steam so that's another wish fulfilled.

The Age of Empires series (my other favourite franchise) also got given the remastered treatment. @RevBillyG - I can see Age of Mythology (extended edition) in my library but I'll have to come back to you on whether it had any updates.

I would like to see Warcraft I and II remastered.

Didn't care much for Warcraft III though because Blizz delayed its release by 3 years and I had jumped ships to Age of Empires series for my RTS fix :p

I would like to see World of Warcraft remastered. It was originally a 2004 game, and got remastered in 2014. I haven't checked the game since then (original 2005-2009 stint and the brief 2014 stint) but I would like to see an 2020s update if it hasn't already happened.

Presumably the Blizz games would have to be loaded from their own platform rather than Steam?

Edit: spelling mistakes.

Yup, I do have the extended edition of AOM. It just added modern OS compatability and a few bits iirc. An update rather than a remake.

Oh yeah no chance of a BOTF remaster but I'd still love one, for me it edged out Bridge Commander but I'd like to see that too, newer graphics and more multiplayer options.

Deus Ex would be cool. I know it's a completely different style but I really enjoyed was it Human Revolution (the first of the new two?).

Yeah, after invisible war came human revolution. Good game, but still does not compare to the original for me.

Just updated my list to add Freelancer. That was an awesome game back in the day. We are getting Squadron 46 which should be similar, but who knows when, maybe next year. Every year people say next year with that game

- Unreal
- Populous
- Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

I believe they were working on an Unreal remake but then Fortnite took off and became a huge success so they canned UT :(

MechCommander.

loved that game when it first released, really enjoyed the 20 hours i played of BATTLETECH more recently but i think i prefer non-turn-based gameplay. wouldn't mind an isometric mmo version too. :)
