Pardon my bad language cough-- VW Phaeton --cough.
If there as close to a Bentley as people have said they are, surely they would be the best motorway cruiser?

Stop being daft.
Bit of a subjective one that. I had the pleasure of a 3.2 Sport XJ8 and it was superb for gliding along the road. The nature of the car changes your driving style and attitude and to this day one of the smoothest cars I've driven, if not the best.I think a Jag would disappoint after an S-Class imo.
if you are tall jags are pants. Not too sure about the latest model but all before have very little room up front
I'm 6'3" and have always felt that Jags are spacious enough. I think this is an example of why it's pointless asking other people to recommend a vehicle. You are the only person who knows what's right for you.
Have to agree with him.
An alternative would be a 7 Series - £20k would buy a nice 730d well, pretty much any 7 !
It would be a daft thing to do though, given what you already have.

I like toys though, i cant imagine what the E65 has which is actually of any real use, but i want it all anywayMaybe i should get a sprung E65
I'm sure you havent even owned that car 6 months yet?
Everyone is made differently. I'm all legs and find that I need the seat quite a way back but headroom is fine. My mate has short legs, sits near the wheel and has headroom issues in most cars. We're both 6'3".I'm 6'3" and have found space to be an issue with Jags....![]()

It's not stupid at all, it's marketing. In many professional services where confidence and quality are converting factors people buy into people, hence the suit. Cars are the same.
My £20k buys:

I turn up to a meeting in my RS4 or GT3 and I often get a different attitude to when I turn up in my wifes S-Line. .
Exactly what I was thinking, someone thought I had an M5 because I had the M sills. Sounds like rubbish, unless all of the people he has meetings with are car nuts which is very unlikely.[TW]Fox;11045932 said:I am genuinelly suprised most people can tell the difference - the S-Line is very similar to the RS4 and it takes a car enthusiast to know it's different IMHO.
