What curry?

If you want a proper hot curry have lunch/dinner with an Indian family - great taste and a nice kick to it too  I have to say I love my hot sauces, most of it west indian stuff, however I tend to cook with chillis with most things.

Do people always go for hot curries? I like trying the chefs specials when I get a curry. Some are hot some are mild. There usually always interesting.

In general I have a preference for spicier curries, however I do like to be adventurous and try different things like you say specials and so on. :)

If you want hot ask for a phall ;) I usually just pick something random each time I go pretty much anything is going to be half decent but I do have a preference for something with a nice kick

I always want a bit of heat with a curry as that to me is the whole point of getting a curry. Saying that if its too hot it really does ruin it as you cant even taste anything.

Ive found Chicken Tikka Pathia to be a nice tasty curry thats between a Rogan Josh and Madras in terms of heat.

I normally go for a Lamb Rogan Josh or a Lamb Jalfrezi ... although one of the takeaways near me does a nice Tawa. It's very difficult to recommend one by heat as curries vary a lot dependent on restaurant, for example the takeaways near me are a lot milder than those down where my parents live.

The best Indian food I have had though was whilst on a DR test with work, me and my boss went into London one evening to meet a friend of his who was part owner of a Indian private members club in Wembley. We had some really really good food there (on the house) ...mmmmm.... Tandoori Chops ...

My main problem with Indian takeaways is that what I want normally comes to 70p less than the minimum amount for delivery so I order a Nan to make it over the amount and then forget to eat it, (I've found the bag with it in the kitchen the next day before now :))
