What curry?

lol you're probably so used to bland english food anything with spices gives you sensorary overload.
That's just a stupid post.

To be honest, i've got a thing for Tikka Masala at the moment. I feel guilty because it's hardly a 'proper' Indian dish but meh. I'm not a huge curry fan and prefer milder/creamier ones anyway. I like the taste of chillies etc, but just dont enjoy eating spicy curries. Lamb curries are lovely, though.

Beware that extremely hot curries can bring out any underlying intestinal/stomach issues that you have :D.

I was hospitalised for a week after my last vindaloo and can tell you it was the most unpleasant time of my life.

What's with the bickering? People who aren't interested in the thread can just STFU tbh. Sometimes I wish I had my ban hammer still :( :p Thread was perfectly sensible IMO.

I really enjoy a Chicken or Lamb Korachi, which contains not only meat but a hard boiled egg. It's a fairly basic curry but slightly spicier than the norm.

i like a chiken tikka massala with a chilli nan bread.my local does a real hot nan and it goes well with a milder curry.i cook a real hot curry for my mates scotch bonnets and plenty of mint they call it a chicken shifter.

hotter the better for me. Chicken Phall, pilau rice, keema naan and an onion bhaji. The sauce that comes with the bhaji is great for cooling your mouth down from the curry :)

Thats more like it a real curry ;)

I always like the mint sauce / yogurt - cools the mouth down
nicely :)

The best curry I ever had (from a supermarket or anywhere else for that matter) was the Homepride Dhansak in a tin. It was marvellous, and nothing else I've ever had has come close in terms of overall balance between heat and flavour.

However I haven't been able to find it for years, so I'm only mentioning it as an act of public sulkology. I managed to trace fenugreek as the main flavour, but I haven't managed to recreate anything similar.
