I've done regular quotes yeah, direct through MCE was slightly more expensive, plus if I go through that compare site, I get 15% off on clothes. :)

To be fair, I had a full power CBR400RR on mine ;)

That bike and the VFR400 NC30 would get that "Wow" feeling, but since they're getting old now. I would imagine they're not as reliable and would need investing?

I would love to have VFR400 NC30 with Tyga fairings! :D

Edit:

It would feel weird having a bike older than me though. :p

There's prob untold memes slating every kind of bike/rider/car/etc etc etc Does make me laugh though.
Suns beaming down round here I'm going to finish my Coffee & go for a Cruise.

It's things like that which makes me really jealous of not yet having a bike. I really do hope I get that feeling. I never feel like that with my car.

My girlfriend is telling me that she thinks I have a very romanticised view of what it would be like to own a bike. I keep telling her how I'm looking forward to going on little rides around and exploring roads but she thinks once I get it I'll just use it for commuting.

She is wrong, oh so very wrong.

Even a quick journey to the shops takes a couple of hours if the weathers nice :D

It is actually as you describe. The feeling of freedom, adventure, camaraderie and thrill hasn't faded for me yet.

I had a bike whilst I bought the car, I then sold the bike as the car was quicker. But at the end, I kind of regret selling my bike even though it was a pain in the ***** so many times... I only went for joy ride twice in my car on very short trips, on my bike the first week I was coming back home at 1-3am :p

In summer when I've my full license and a bike I'll do a euro trip, that'll be my last long summer holiday before the proper grown up life begins. :(

BTW
You watch waaay too many romances, if you're saying things like "very romanticised" and a bike in one sentence.:p

+1,

Hey I was just saying what she said. I go out of my way to NOT watch romantic films. She's been trying for a out 2 years to try and make me watch The Notebook :D

There are very good reasons men choose to watch the Notebook, the payback is usually worth the 90 minutes of anguish :p

Your Girlfriend is only saying that because She knows that as soon as you own a Bike you will be irresistible to women & turn into a Sex God. :p

Does anybody else head home but then ride past your front door & go out again ? I do it loads.
I don't think I've ever done a trip where I'm just going from here to there I always end up wandering up a few of my fave roads before coming home.
Tell your Girlfriend She Fails !!! :D

Had my brakes looked at by a local garage. Assumed they felt off because pads were worn but it turned out that a plastic bag had got up in there and melted lol.

but she thinks once I get it I'll just use it for commuting.

To be honest I only use mine for commuting, but it's fun and a lot less stressful.
