What did you do to your bike today?

Need to figure out how to mount my GoPro, don't want it on the side as it sticks out too much, can't go on the chin as I've got a vent which sticks out..

Side is the best shot imo with your handlebars/mirrors in shot and a little bit of the side of your helmet. Gives it some perspective and makes it a bit more entertaining to watch compared to just plain footage off the top of your head.

You have a GoPro which is going to stick out no matter what :p

The side view is crap. You block out a lot of the view with the helmet (far worse with wide view cameras) and you get really annoying wind blast at speed.

The only one worse is the teletubby view on top of the head. It makes you feel weird and un-engaged, as if you're floating above the bike.

As said, what helmet do you have? There are solutions for every helmet.

Oh and use superview - you'll look like you're going 120 when you're doing 40 :D

If anyone watches ridingwithtom (aussie youtuber) it seems like he rides fast all the time... just camera magic.

The problem won't be the vent, it's the angle right where you'd put the curved mount - means it would only contact on half the mount.

if you want a chin mount you'd have to mount it like Kreee does, partway up the chin bar with a few arms and a 90 degree arm to finish.

You'd have thought helmet manufacturers would have cottoned on to this and built it some mounting points so you can just click the cam into

It'll be going on my shoei, may buy another helmet that doesn't have a vent on the front so I can mount it on the chin.

This is the helmet I have now, actually I might get away with it, I'll try again later on.

If I can get it on my GT Air you can get it on there no problem.

There are laws on the maximum protrusion height allowed.

Slightly off to the side and used some arms to get it central.

You can see it in the close ups in this video:

I can't take any pictures as it's all packed up for winter.

@Clovis, hows the sale going, any luck yet? :)

BTW What bike are you getting next, or you haven't decided yet?

It finished at £1920, luckily I had my dads eBay account to make sure he was the highest bidder, no way was I losing £700 just for the sake of selling it, I've changed my mind now and I'm going to part ex it for my new bike :)

I want a zx-6r but I also want to try out a few first. :)

What's happening with you? When do you turn 19 so you can do A2?

I popped to Aldi down the road from the office in my lunch and after dealing with a load of people driving round the car park with their eyes closed and then walking into what looked like an entire residential home stocking up for the apocalypse again with their eyes closed I walked out empty handed before I helped some of them into their coffins a little quicker.

I'll stop by the one at home tomorrow.

but you'll be old one day

Very true, but if I ever become that unaware of what's going on around me I expect someone to have the decency to put me down.

I'm pretty difficult to miss but that didn't stop people trying to walk into me or attack me with their trolley.
