What did you do to your bike today?

Yeah all mileage is me,you don't lose as much as a car, bikes don't depreciate as much as cars but you still lose a lot when new vs one or two years old

I reckon the MT-10 will have a waiting list for the first 6 months, if they get the price right. I mean it's a naked R1 basically, and it's likely to be under £10k! A waiting list will keep used bike prices high for the first 6-12 months.

Ah I see so no deals on demo bikes then.

Yeah I'd do that anyway, at least a £50 deposit, could ask for more but that might scare them off!

I paid £150 deposit for mine, I wanted to secure it because it was a steal for the price I bought it for. Well, not a steal but a good price. :p

Depends on the bike and how much you paid new...

I've been meaning to get my Hornet legal again. It needs a few bits and pieces (and a better exhaust), so then I'd have a winter hack, but think I'd miss using my Speed Triple too much. Don't really want to be paying the amount I pay every month and not use it through winter so I'll just put up with it! I don't mind really, I find it quite relaxing/enjoyable cleaning it as it's so different from what I normally do day to day plus I have decent cloths, sponges and potions which make the whole process more enjoyable and rewarding.

If you sold your horne how much would u be looking for?

I'm in a limbo of it my bike gets written off, do I buy it back and or get a hornet. Just want to know prices for years.

I'm in no rush. I'm happy to wait a few years and enjoy my street triple.

I'm also not insane enough to buy a launch model within a year of release. I like to get things once all of the minor problems have been fixed.

Yesterday was the first time I'd been into the Yam dealer just down the road from the office, so much shiny.

I think once the weather picks up next year I may be using my lunch breaks for some test rides especially if they get an MT10 in.

Also noticed I was getting some clutch lever wobble last night so decided to tighten the bolt up before work this morning, only to get a bit hamfisted and tighten it so much I'm now getting a little clutch drag

Not 100% sure, but I had a quick glance around a few months ago and looks like I could get around £2k - it's 2005 plate (F4 model) with 32k miles. Need an overhaul on front caliper and new fork seals, but those are both things I'd of course do before selling.

That's better! Yes I'm aware it needs a wash but it's a bit pointless with this weather.
