What did you do to your bike today?

Bike still pushes forward when I rev with clutch fully in

Checked manufacturers manual and it says:

Clutch will not disengage or motorcycle creeps with clutch disengaged
-too much clutch level free play
-warped plate
-loose clutch lock nut
-engine oil level too high or improper oil used.

I'm going to change the cable anyway as I don't know how old it is. I'll run it with no slack at all and see if it changes...if not i looks like its going to cost me a new set of plates...

when did you last change the oil mowy? seemslike you have clutch drag

my misfire seems to have gone now:confused:i like my bike it fixes itself, could have been bad batch of petrol maybe? but never had that happen before

I haven't as I've only had her for a month or so. The oil is on 3/4 when I checked it 2 weeks ago, It didnt look new, but it didnt look old either.

does it do it more when cold and less when the bikes hot? you might get away with new oil,but might be worth sticking in new plates/oil/filter ect

it should do it less when hot as the oil will be slightly thinner

I havnt noticed it when cold (but I haven't checked) but I have noticed it after about 10 mins riding

First thing I'd do with a new bike is a complete fluid change.

For £40 quid get that one as well!! And just how much would the fueling change? How long would it take to consume the difference in prices of the exhausts?

The issue here is how lumpy/boggy an engine can run with the wrong engine mapping for a specific exhaust, particularly poorly designed (normally cheap) exhausts.

Checked a few bike forums and people are saying:

-Cable adjustment at the clutch arm has done it in some cases
-New/different oil in other cases
-Others it's replacing all clutch plates and springs, which would be new oil as well

Oh Maidstone that's just 30 mins from me. I need my headlight cowl repaired and repainted after a minor accident last year.

If onlybi knew about this two weeks ago :( i sent my plastics to a painter in chartham/chilham and he still has them. Unpianted two weeks later... not happy.

Cancel the job with him, take the plastics and go to that guy? I would argue this out, two weeks and nothing is getting done sounds a bit ridiculous tbh... Especially since its a bike we're talking about, not a car.

Edit: How much would it cost to re-paint the SV650S with the fairings? I'm really not a fan of that blue, but damn that price. :p

Your looking at 200-400 for a complete set plus tank i think plus vat costs. Depends on the place, wether you want a standard or custom colour or any detailing like pinstripes etc. Detailing is where the cost really rises.
