What did you do to your bike today?

That is nice, off them £2500 and they might accept it, if not something will pop up. :)

125 miles away, only just checked. That's too far away, I'll think about it.

Edit: I hate searching and buying, once its bought and all ready to be ridden I'm happy, but the whole process of getting the bike is torture...

It's easy buying,I find selling a pain

Selling is easy, bike sold the same day as I posted it. The car sold randomly, a guy walked up to me and asked me if I want to sell it, I asked him how much he'll offer and sold it.

On both I've made profit. :D

New clutch cable: £9.95
120 mile round trip to collect clutch cable: £10 in fuel and 3 hours.

Not having to catch the train on Monday: Priceless. :D

Fitted in less than 10 minutes, the new one was slightly shorter for some reason, but I changed the routing slightly and it's all good. It feels 10x lighter now too :)

I'm on that forum a lot and he seems like a top bloke - a proper perfectionist who takes pride in his work.

His work does look amazing, it doesn't look like he does repairs though (my tank has a large dent in it which would need pulling out) but when the time comes and I retire the CB400 from daily duties I'll deffo get some prices from him.

Haven't even looked into it yet, it's only cosmetic and it's not worth getting the tank done while it's doing duties as an all year commuter, it'd only end up getting scratched and dirty.

In a few years though I'd love to find some OEM parts for it and then strip it back to a bare frame and repaint the engine/frame/bodywork, re-coat the forks etc, basically a complete rebuild, bring it back to as new condition. They're a rare bike, I've only ever seen 2 the same (one was a 400 grey import forum member who I bought the stainless exhaust from) and although they're not worth that much (£2-2.5k in good condition) it's a great little bike that will deserve some TLC after I've treated it to several years of abuse :D

Fitted my new led indicators today only snag was the sheath colour on the bullet to suzuki connector wires were backwards to what is on the loom pain in the bum but all fitted now. Only thing is the indicator lights on the dash have a constant dull glow but that's nothing major.

Just fitted my new inridium spark plugs on the sv. Was really simple. Undo the radiator where it's supported from the head, push it forward and then you have access. Put some Vaseline around the cap to stop the common wet plug issue on the front cylinder.

I also managed to fit my new indicator relay so they don't blink fast anymore. I've had it for months and couldn't find where I put it but found it tonight, back of the fuse box/loom :)

On my way to work an hour ago I slowed down for a speed camera then sped up and to my surprise got flashed, damn. First time in 8 years on the road I finally got caught speeding.

I doubt I'll get lucky as it's a brand new camera I think it's been up there less than 6 months. My stupid fault, I was in a hurry I've always slowed down for that camera even did today but I sped up before I was out of range, absolute idiot. So tonight's shift is just to pay for that fine and I'll get 3 points too.

I had couple situations where I thought it flashed at me, then I realised its just a 125 I'm sat on. :p

Bigger bike will definitely make it easier to get points on my license, I still have to be a good boy for another year and try not to get 6 points as I'll loose my license. :p

I tried out a friends F800GS last week (on private land of course!) and it was fantastic, really making me consider a F700GS when I pass my DAS in a few months. It's size is perfect for my height. A lot of the bikes I've sat on recently feel a bit 'fat and low.'

I was leaning towards an MT-07 due to the price, but a second hand 700GS would be about the same, and my 125x would make up a fair bit of that when sold.

Took the bike out for a quick ride to make sure the clutch cable was fine, it feels like a different bike! Can't rev match for **** now, but up changes are sooooo smooth, it's so much lighter than it was before.

Also gave it a quick jetwash as a reward, first wash this year :p:D

:D:cool:

It was quite warm out there today, but the roads were slimy as hell, every roundabout was slippery and half of them had oil all over the place. Roll on spring and dry, clean roads!
