What did you do to your bike today?

1 year NCD doesn't remove a massive amount. I've found as long as you have that first year of NCD then you're fine. It all adds up if you've got 9 years (think that's the max?), but the difference between a single year isn't huge.

I think it may have been down to the fact that when I first insured the bike I hadn't passed my test so the CBT and provisional licence meant I got big quotes all round and it now just looks like Bennetts don't like something about me.

£200 seems much more normal for a 27yr old TPFT.

Surely if you let this policy complete then you will get another years NCD? Then start a new policy combining then 3 years NCD?

I've got 1 year at the moment which is not on a policy, if I leave my current policy in place I'll then have 2 years NCD in July or I can change policies now and get 12 months insurance with the refund from the 6 months I've got left and forfeit my 2nd year no claims.

So in effect I'll have to wait an extra 6 months to get my 2nd year no claims but I'll be getting 6 months insurance for free based on the price I paid for my current policy.

Have you spoken to them about how much you'll actually get back when cancelling? Sometimes you get back so little after the admin fee etc. that it isn't worth it.

I've not called them yet but according to their site it's a £50 admin charge and they refund you a percentage of the premium calculated on a pro rate basis equivalent to the period of cover left unused which should be roughly 50% so around £325.

Theory tomorrow and I'm ill on antibiotics yay, still going though. The next test would be in 2 months time... f that. :p

Fitted the new sprocket carrier bearing :D

Got one from the rainforest on prime delivery, took about 10 minutes to fit it, job's a good un'. I reused the old dust seal but will order a new one and change it when I change my rear tyre (probably next weekend, if fact that reminds me, must order my new rear tyre!!)

Just dont get caught lol. Here in the UK they **** you up if they catch you.

Yeah, practise on empty car parks without CCTV, that's what I and my mates did. Great fun and have someone with you, just in case if anything was to happen...

I just take my driving license to the centre, right? I already have a category A and AM, so no need for any additional paperwork? I'll bring my CBT cert just in case lol :p

When I did my theory back in November all I took was my Card license, they don't need the green bit any more, this was before my CBT too.

Good luck. :)
