What did you do to your bike today?

If you've had something bigger you may be underwhelmed with the power but they are a fantastic bike. I have the normal CRF250L and as a green lane bike it is amazing, just the right power to let you enjoy the ride. As a commuter, especially in a city or in rural areas, it would be great. I hate travelling at motorway speeds though, especially as a 100kg rider, it takes effort to keep it at 70-75mph.

These CRF250 rally have always interest me. Bike looks stunning. How is to ride though? Is it slow? Always thought it'd be nice if it had a bigger engine, sort of like a baby KTM 790 adventure but I haven't ridden either :D

Well you wont be winning any races but you wont be holding up traffic either, i'm coming from a 125 so haven't had anything more powerful.

Coming from 3 months of lessons on the Gladius i don't feel let down with the lack of HP and i'm finding it lots of fun.

I was fed up of having no gear indicator in my CBR, so I made a multi-gear selector switch from the standard neutral switch whilst on a particularly long conference call today :D

Just waiting on the display and testing it out on the bike.

Will update my CBR thread with pics later tonight.

set it on fire on Saturday...

had a faulty ignition switch , so tried to repair it , thought i had , went for a test ride two miles from home bike dies with a big puff of smoke from the ignition , guy passing in a van gives me and the bike a lift home.
new switch fitted last night and all is peaceful in the universe again

Rode it, commuted on it the last two days in the lovely sunshine then my plan was to jump back in the car today as it's cold and damp again but unfortunately the gas company turned up yesterday and tore up half the drive and up the side of the house to replace some pipework and move the meter outside which means I was left having to park my bike on the street last night so rather than leave it sat there for any longer than needed I brought it to work.

This morning was quite a nice ride, this afternoon looks like I might need my flippers.

Hah probably leaked onto the headers.....
I seem to remember the 675 Triple we had leaking from somewhere similar, was definitely one of the exhaust bolts anyway, went into triumph to take a look and sorted it for a while but it always came back :p

Quick jaunt up to Haverigg in the western Lake District. Overnight camp then hoofed it back for lunch at home. The new larger backbox made life so much easier!
Lovely weather on the way up, not so much on the way home!

You should consider going a bit further up and stopping at eskdale then going back over hardknott pass. Worth watching a video before attempting it :D

Which top box did you go for, I managed to pick up the Givi Outback 58Ltr just before Xmas from Superbikeshop as they were selling them for a silly price, I just need to get the mounting plate for it now.
