What did you do to your bike today?

Cheers all. Very sore and stiff today, but as has been said, could have been a whole lot worse. Should be back to work Monday though. Just waiting for a phone call from the doc to see if they can prescribed some better pain meds. The co-dydramol the hospital gave me isn't working very well :/
Going to get the frame checked and repair if it's straight. Finding fairings is going to be a challenge. Reluctant to go via insurance because of the age and "market value" of the bike, plus the loss of three sets of NCB would be a pain in the ass, but will see what comes back after its been checked over.
I believe I get to put a deer sticker on my fairings from now on as a badge of honour lol!

I hear you. Also bedding in new pads in uncertain winter conditions isn't exactly fun...
These last few days have been very tempting mind you, to sack off house duties (and work) to go for a blast!

Annoyingly my MOT is due in March too, so unsure whether to leave the pads until after that, as I might not get chance to bed them in - and the current ones might very well pass the brake test

Cleaned, polished and waxed the Hayabusa after a run out yesterday. Took advantage of dry roads and low wind speeds to get out on the country roads, plus scored some brownie points swinging by the other half’s to drop off a couple of things she’d left behind chez moi during the week :D

Currently rebuilding the R1 ready for another year of racing.
Also ordered a new Fireblade, see what all the fuss is about, will probably use it more for endurance than anything else, excited to swing a leg over it though.

Rode to Devon, stayed overnight. Then noticed oil on my left boot. Second oil leak on my KTM 1290GT now. Dealership were most surprised as the 1290 "usually doesn't leak."

Goes in next week for investigation and determining whether it happening 300 miles after the service is coincidental.

Was dry so gave my Trident a long overdue clean and took her out for a spin - really really enjoyable ride out on the moors until a serious code brown..... came round a corner on a lovely B road road I've ridden many times before only to be confronted with a small river of run off from a farmers field running across the road.
Both myself and newly cleaned bike were immediately covered in a glorious mixture of cow **** and pooh!

The joys of country life eh?

Removed the de-cat system and fitted the OE stuffs ready to P/X it..

Should hopefully get £200-300 for the Black Widow system to put towards an exhaust for the new bike.

Fitted a lithium battery to the Tuono as the original was making the bike run a little rough, taking a few turns to get started even though it’s been on an optimate charger. Turns over like brand new now.
